I2P is a mix of tor and freenet.

the i2p network is designed with the freenet network, ie all the computers are
connected to each other and isolated from the rest of the internet network. No
IP addresses, but they are actually keys from asymmetric keys.
no connections possible with the internet network .. so we can consult only
sites on the I2P network. Meanwhile, it is possible to go to the Internet through
the OutProxy, however the i2p network is not primarily designed to do that.
OutProxy is a hobby that allows you to get out of the i2p network to go to a
website outside the I2P network.
all nodes are considered as an internet server, called eep site. to be able to go
to this site, it is necessary to type the key of this site in the navigator. but in the
I2P, we have the addition of the notion of the dns, and not like in the free net!

when a computer D wants to consult a site in A, then it must go through the

other computers B, C and D. this one is a notion of tor, ie one must go through
several nodes in order to access our target site. the computer C does not know
where the request comes from, all that knows is the address of the computer
B, also for B. so C and B just pass the packet to its destination. and of course
this package reviet to D with the answer.
at the level of encryption, I2P uses asymmetric keys of 2048 bits for the
identification of the computers, and uses AES 256 to encrypt the data.
at the protocol level, I2P is able to accept http / https, SMTP, BitTorrent (which
is not used in Tor), IRC (which allows to chat), TCP / UDP.
So as you see, we have a combination of the strengths of the two networks to
give us. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Silk Road was the most notorious of all marketplaces in deep web. It catalogs
goods into different sections and provides seller ratings and guides for buyers
on how to securely purchase items. they buy drugs, books, foods etc.. As of
October2, 2013, Silk Road is no longer active. Ross William Ulbricht who stands
accused of being “Dread Pirate Roberts,” the owner and main administrator of
the marketplace, was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) at a
public library in San Francisco on Tuesday, October 1.
According to the FBI, in the two-and-a-half years of its existence, the site
generated sales amounting to over 9.5 million Bitcoins and collected
commissions on those sales of over 600,000 Bitcoins. At the time the complaint
was fled, this equated to approximately US$1.2 billion in sales and US$80
million in commission.
