To Whom It May Concern:

I have had the pleasure to have Chawnacee Teschera as a student in my Child Development
class and Health and Family Living class during her junior year at Merced High. I have known
Chawnacee as a student since August 2017. Chawnacee is a hard-working student; her GPA is
3.57.

Chawnacee has been involved in many activities during her high school years. She was
actively involved in student leadership during her freshman year at El Capitan. When she
transferred to Merced High she continued her participation in leadership. She was also in cheer
for three of four years, at the varsity level including cheer competition while at El Capitan. She
has also served as a role model for incoming freshman through the LINK crew. The Link
program is designed to assist incoming freshman to acclimate to the high school experience.
Chawnacee’s involvement doesn’t stop at high school, she is also interning at DayOut, an adult
day health care facility.

Chawnacee plans to attend Merced College where she will major in radiology. She will be the
first in her family to graduate from a comprehensive high school and pursue a college degree.
Her ambition, generous spirit and friendly personality will serve her well as she pursues her
educational goals and future career. If you have any questions, please contact me.

Sincerely,
Tammie L Meyer
