The last few years, I have the privilege of working and observing Ethan in his academics and campus activities. He has worked very hard to be successful at Merced High School and has shown strong determination to be successful in his future. Based on his strong work ethic and collaboration with others, Ethan always strives for his best. What stands out to me is his willingness to learn and generosity to others. Ethan has been very active through his high school career. He was on our wrestling and golf teams, founder of our Robotics Club, member of the Band, Key, Leo, Adventure, Mountain Sports, Spanish and Singing clubs, photographer for FCCLA, a Gateway Scholar, student tutor and Peer Assisted Learning, and participant in drama and MR. Merced. Through these extracurricular activities, Ihave gotten the opportunity to observe his leadership and good communication skills, along with listening and learning from others that he has demonstrated in his involvement. Ethan enjoys being involved in his community as well. He has worked in our community over sixty hours with the Key Club and is working with our city’s Youth Council. He has volunteered with animal adoption and Salvation Army. He has ran his own landscaping business for six summers in a row. Ethan has demonstrated that he is flexible, adaptable, responsible, and reliable.
