Business Case Format

The format for your business case is according to the following content sequence.

 Problem:
What is the problem you are trying to solve? What is the business opportunity?
 Options for Proposed Solution:
How can you address the problem or take advantage of the business opportunity?
 Approach:
What are the viable options available to implement the solution?
(For our course, follow the PM Process Groups: Project Initiation, Project Planning,
Project Execution, Project Monitoring and Controlling, and Project Closure.)
 Risk Assessment:
What are the risks associated with each option? What is the risk of doing nothing?
 Value Analysis:
What business value is generated from each option?
