ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS a) Age Relaxation Between 18 to 23 years as on 1% Aug’ 2018, There will be relaxation in age for SC/ST/OBC, Ex servicemen and other categories of persons in accordance with the Government orders on the subject,b) ¢) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION Constable (GD) = Matriculation or 10"class pass from a recognized Board/ University. PHYSICAL STANDARDS The physical standards laid down for the post of Constable (GD) as under :~ () (ii) (iy Note - @ (ii) (ii) (iv) ) (vi) (vii) (viii) Height - 170 Cms Chest - 80 Cms(unexpanded) With min expansion 5 Cms Weight _: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards. The minimum height for all candidates belonging to ST will be 162.5 cms of all States/UTs/districts except as given in the following para. The minimum height for all ST candidates hailing from the NE states of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim & Tripura and Left Wing Extremism affected districts will be 160 cms. The minimum height of candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the states of Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir will be 165 oms. They must be in good mental and physical health for duties in all places including in high altitude and be fit to serve in border areas with extreme climatic conditions and must be free from any defect likely to interfere with efficient performance of the duties. il) In case of medical examination, “Temporary unfitness” will not be allowed. However, any female candidate who during the medical examination is found to be pregnant of twelve weeks standing or above, shall be declared temporarily unfit and her medical examination held in abeyance until the confinement is over. iv) Being a secular country, the religious sentiments of our countrymen are to be respected and thus, tattoos depicting religious symbol or figures and the name is permitted. Tattoos marked on traditional sites of the body like inner aspects of forearm but only left forearm, being non saluting limb or dorsum of the hands are to be allowed.
