TTO Sports day

The TTO Sports day is a day on the Sondervick college in Veldhoven were we do
typical sports out of England. It takes the whole day, because we did 3 different
kind of sports.
The sports day started at a normal time: half past 8. We had to be at Basko, a
sport club close to our school. When we were there, we had to wait a couple of
minutes and listen to the explanation. There were real English people to teach
us lessons about the 3 different sports: highland games, cricket and rugby. We
started with cricket.
We fist had to do a warming up: we had to run from line to line. After that, we
had to practise throwing and catching
with the teacher. When we were done
with that, he started explaining the
game. Now we had the explanation, we
could finally started with playing. We
had to practise with hitting the ball. At
the end, we played the complete game
for 15 minutes.
As second, we had highland games. There were
different minigames, like pull the rope, throw the
hammer and some more. We had to swap with our
team between the minigames to gain the most
points. It was fun, and no one got hurt.

The last thing was rugby (the nicest of all). After we had a little warming up. He
taught us how to hold the rugby ball in your hands. We did a lot of different
minigames to practise how to work with a
rugby ball. We didn’t play the real game.
