Materials
• DK or Worsted weight yarn – main colour of your choice for body and wings, and small
amount of yellow/orange for beak and feet
• 4mm crochet hook
• Stuffing – polyester toy & cushion stuffing, or natural stuffing such as cotton or wool
• 6mm plastic safety eyes (alternatively, small buttons or pieces of felt for eyes)
• Tapestry needle for sewing parts together

Pattern is worked in a continuous spiral with no turning chains.
Use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of each round and move up every round.

Making up
Sew wings to sides of body. Sew together the open ends of feet and tail, then sew to base of body,
spacing them out so that the bird can stand up.
