is to understand.

them think harder of the material they are learning.

learning.

before the start of the day.

etc...

sure you know where your students are at all times!

little more educational- or less expensive! (Can leave a

etc…)
Hints
1. Students aren't your friends, but they shouldn't be afraid of
you. Make a fine line between you and your students and
make sure they know that there are boundaries.
2. High fives are fun to engage with students, but make sure
they aren’t seen as being their friend and is instead given to
them as a reward.
3. Don’t be afraid to speak up if students are being rowdy! You
can still be nice, but make sure they know that they must do
their work.
4. Be optimistic even to the most pessimistic student!
5. Students have lives of their own and their own journeys.
Realise that they may act differently due to that. Find ways
to help them.
6. You can never ask too many questions to your colleagues,
you're all in this together. Work together and figure things
out!
7. A good teacher doesn't have to make all of their own
material! Use your colleague’s to help you out.
8. Remember not to be hard-headed, someone’s idea might be
better than yours, and that's okay. Take those ideas to help
your students in the classroom, don’t be selfish.
9. Students can be hard, but parents are harder! You must
have thick skin and not let what they say affect you.
