Patient S.M.P. 83-year-old female client, was one of our patients and became the
focus of our Case Study during our 6-2 duty in LORMA 3C. she was admitted last
February 9, 2018, due to CAP-MR. This interview was conducted with the patient and
the patient’s daughter last February 13, 2018.

The patient centered objectives were met. The patient was able to receive
effective and efficient nursing interventions like maintaining stable vital signs. We
regulated the intravenous fluid at desired rate and also monitored intake and output of
the patient. Furthermore, we have helped the patient in preventing complications that
may occur during her stay in the hospital and administering medication per doctor’s
order.

The patient and his significant others received appropriate health teachings
regarding proper nutrition, coping mechanism, and prevention of further infections.
Throughout the duty, the student nurses, have provided the necessary nursing
interventions needed to improve the condition of the client and were able to provide
quality nursing care which is their utmost concern every time they handle patients in their
duty. In coming up with the study, the students are guided with these general aims which
are: First, is to increase their knowledge about Chronic Kidney Disease in congruence to
their lectures and apply appropriate nursing interventions within the boundaries of their
duty; second, is to enhance the skills by putting into practice the efficient and effective
use of nursing concepts and strategies; and lastly, is to integrate within and among
themselves the value of being an effective compassionate health workers. Finally, the
students have learned that in everything that one does, they must learn to show
