Student Behavior Rubric

5 Student does all of the following:

 Follows class rules
 Completes entry ticket (opening activity)
 Consistently stays focused on class work
 Follows teacher instructions the first time
 Helps to keep other students on task
4 Student does some or all of the following:
 Breaks a class rule but stops after being warned
 Follows instructions, but may need to be told more than one time
 Gets distracted but refocuses when addressed
 Does not distract other students
3 Student does some or all of the following:
 Breaks a class rule after being warned
 Does not complete entry ticket (opening activity)
 Gets distracted and must be put back on task multiple times
 Distracts another student from the lesson or class work
2 Student does some or all of the following:
 Breaks class rules more than once
 Argues with or questions teacher when told they are breaking a rule
 Distracts another student from the lesson or class work
 Interrupts the lesson
1 Student does some or all of the following:
 Shows consistent disregard for class rules
 Argues with or questions teacher when told they are breaking a rule
 Breaks the same class rule multiple times even after being warned
 Makes no attempt to stay focused on the lesson or classwork
0 Student does some or all of the following:
 Refuses to follow class rules
 Refuses to follow teacher instructions
 Argues with or questions teacher instructions while refusing to follow them
 Deliberately disobeys teacher instructions
 Actively seeks to distract other students from the lesson or their classwork
