1. What were the best and worst parts of Senior Project/Senior Seminar?

The best part was that I could actually learn more than I already knew. I did not like how
I had to do side projects for my senior project.

2. List three things you now know after completing your Senior Project.
I found out what it actually takes to become an interpreter. I also learned that many
people are in need of an interpreter and some companies don't think they do.

3. What problems did you encounter, and how did you handle these problems?
My number one problem was trying to find a project related to what I want to do in the
future, which was either dancing or interpreting. My second problem is that I couldn't find the
time to interpret for someone. I finally talked to my mentor and my manager said that we should
have a meeting and she has been planning to arrange one for awhile now and both my problems
were solved.

4.Which aspect of the Senior Project/Senior Seminar stretched you the most? How did you
feel about and react to this challenge?
I thought if I could talk to a stranger then I could talk to a person whose background I
know. As soon as I did it made me feel proud of myself.

5. How has Senior Project/Senior Seminar changed you (skills, attitudes, work habits,
capabilities, confidence, poise, presentation, etc.)?
It has improved my confidence. Attitude has changed from negative to positives thoughts.
Skills have improved, speaking in front of people seems much easier and it only took 12 years.

6. What would you do differently if you had to do the whole Senior Project/Senior Seminar
process again?
I would have probably ask more questions and ask them sooner. I would have loved to
learn sign language because that is more needed in society.

7. What advice do you have for next year’s seniors?

An advice I would give is to ask questions. The teacher can help understand in a different and
simpler way.

8. Has this experience influenced your future plans?

This experience made me want my dream job even more. It did make me realized that there is a
lot of risk and a battle with technology. It makes me want to fight for it more.
9. What grade would you give yourself for your Senior Project and what justification do
you have for that grade?
I would give myself a 85-90% because I could have had better time management. I think I
deserve that grade because no matter how much I procrastinated I got things done.
