Listening Section
In this section of the test, you will have the chance to show how well you understand spoken
English. There are 4 parts to this section, with special directions for each part.
Part I. Pictures
Questions : 1 to 3.
Directions:
For each item, there is a picture in your test book and four short statements about it on the tape.
They are spoken two times, and are NOT WRITTEN out on your test book, so you must listen
carefully. You must choose one statement-(A), (B), (C), or (D) – that best describes the picture.
Then, on your answer sheet, mark your choice.

Now let’s begin with picture number 1

Picture Number 2.
A. There is no printer on the desk
B. The keyboards is in front of the monitor

B. The girls wear trousers
C. The girls wear long dress without veil
D. The girls wear long dress with veils.

Part II.
Questions :4 – 7
Direction :
In this part of the test, you will hear several questions spoken in English, followed by three
responses, also spoken in English. The question and responses will be spoken two times. They will
not be printed in your test book, so you must listen carefully to understand what the speakers say.
You have to choose the best response to each question.

Part III.
Question : 8-11
Directions :
In this part of the test, you will hear several short conversations. The conversations will not be
printed in your test book. You will hear the conversations two times, so you must listen carefully to
understand what the speakers say.
In your test book, you will read a question about each conversation. The question will be followed
by four answers. You have to choose the best answer to each question and mark it on your answer
sheet.

Number 8
Man : Hello, I'm Ridwan
Woman : Pleased to meet you Ridwan. Call me Miss Shinta, English teacher.
Man : Really? I like English, but not very good at it.
Woman : Don't worry. You just talk without being afraid of making mistakes.

Number 9.
Man : So, you are going to take the scholarship program?
Woman : That's right sir. I think this is my chance to study abroad.

Number 10.
Man : Hi, Nany. I heard you've got a gold medal on mathematic Olympiad yesterday.
That's fantastic!
Woman : Hi, Ron, hmm.. you're right. I'm happy for it. Thanks.

Number 11
Woman : Hi, Fan. Where are you going? You seem to be in hurry.
Man : Oh, hi Rany. I am going to meet the principal. I need to get his signature.

Part IV.
Directions :
In this part of the test, you will hear several short talks. Each will be spoken two times. They will
not be printed in your test book, so you must listen carefully to understand and remember what is
said.
In your test book, you will read two or more questions about each short talk. Each question will be
followed by four answers. You have to choose the best answer to each question and mark it on your
answer sheet.

I usually woke up at 4 o’clock a.m. and went to the Press Center to check the daily schedule
of briefings and press conferences. It usually held by the United Nation officials or disaster
mitigation team.
It was challenging to visit different refugee camps to find soft stories, human interest stories.
After that I went back to the press center to cover the press conferences of the day.
