Artist Statement

For my artifact I chose to make a book. I started by folding paper and binding the
book with twine. I then took fabric and wrapped the spine of the book to prevent
the binding from getting loose. I then made a cover with cardstock. After the book
was bound I typed and printed out all of the statements on the different subjects in
my book. I had a table of contents, famous influencers, forms of therapy, and
quotes. I was going to use chipboard as a form of binding, but it didn't come in the
mail in time to use it. I had to improvise and use thick cardstock as covers. My
product didn’t come out exactly as I planned. But, I think that overall my book
came together really well.
