A Short Reflection

The essay I chose to revise is about procrastination among incoming College

freshman. At first this came with its own set of difficulties being that I had to I have a

friend of mine provide the peer editing/ feedback that I wasn't able to get during the

original peer review during class, as a result of me not completing essay on time. In the

end I think the comments provided by my friend held the necessary criticism needed in

order for me to revise some of the issues that can see you throughout my original essay.

After receiving additional feedback from Professor Batty I learned that my overall essay

talked about how college students tend to procrastinate in more of a general sense, and

that I needed to focus in and narrow my search on specific demographic of college

student that is affected by procrastination the most. Ultimately providing a more

in-depth look on how specifically incoming freshman are more susceptible to the dangers

of procrastination along with the negative effects it could have on them. The second

paragraph of my essay goes into some of the reasons why these incoming freshmen or

more likely to fall victim to procrastination, discussing various reasons and issues the

transition between high school and college my bring about resulting in the reason for

their procrastination. This was one of the major change I made during the revision

process for this essay, resulting in a more well-organized body paragraph and providing a

key talking point that my original essay is missing.
