Study 1 2008 Male and Female “Thirty percent of respondents (n = 6) reported they
Taekwondo athletes would see a DC for all their injuries and 30% (n =
6) reported they would visit a DC for low back and
neck injuries. Fifteen percent (n = 3) and 10% (n =
2) noted they would see a chiropractor for
peripheral joint injuries and headaches, respectively.
Fifteen percent (n = 2) of respondents reported they
would not see a chiropractor for any of their
injuries.”

Study 2 2010 Male Australian “The intervention group missed 4 matches due to a
soccer players hamstring injury and the control 14 matches. The
intervention group was at a statistically significant
reduced risk of suffering a primary lower limb
muscle strain injury (p = 0.025), equating to 3.6% of
the intervention group and 27.6% of the control
group. The intervention group missed 4 matches
with a lower limb muscle strain and the control
group 21 matches.”

Study 3 2007 International male “​There was a significant difference in paramedical


and female BMX practitioner choice when comparing the sample
athletes across the different locations of injury. Specifically,
the proportion of individuals presenting for
treatment to chiropractors (84%) was much higher
than to physiotherapists/massage therapists (16%)
for spine or torso complaints”
