The focus of this state standard is communication with others and

being a global collaborator. Teachers should foster opportunities
for students to collaborate with others locally and globally. This
standard is important as it allows students to learn how to
collaborate with others, provide valuable contributions to group
projects, and work with other learners from diverse backgrounds.

THE INSTRUCTION
EXAMPLES OF ACTIVITIES

There are a variety of ways in which this standard could be

incorporated into instruction in other academic areas. For
example, students could research different ways in which
communities can protect Earth's natural resources, create an
infographic depicting their research, and then publish it to a
classroom blog and share with other classes locally and globally.
