A Reflection of My Revised Essay

The essay that I am revising is the very first essay I wrote for English 101. In this essay

we had to talk about a specific group of college students and one struggle they face while

pursuing their college degrees. I chose to write about first generation low income college

students and my initial grade was an 82/100 which is not bad at all for the first essay I wrote in

this class. I have made corrections as well as removed paragraphs I did not find were necessary

anymore. I specified the requirements needed to join the TRIO programs listed and the purpose

of the programs. In paragraphs 4-8 I have added what the requirements to enter those specific

programs are as well as who is eligible to join and what will be offered in each program. I have

removed a paragraph that mentioned the Educational Opportunity program that I had initially

wrote about, and deleted it because I felt like it was similar to what was being offered in other

programs I mentioned. I had a couple of grammar errors such as run on sentences that could use

commas or periods which I have added. I also reworded my conclusion to mention how many

programs in total are available but I did not mention. Finally I fixed my works cited page to the

proper format. The second line of the citation must be hanging and I fixed that.
