Meg the hen sat on a bed. Meg
got wet. Meg was sad. “ I will not
let my egg get wet. I will sit in the
pen,” said Meg.

red. “I will be a mom,” said Meg.

the hen set the egg in the bed.
Meg sat on the big, red egg. Meg
sat, sat, sat. Meg had a nap.

The egg did a jig. The egg did a
jam. The egg did a hop. Pop! The
egg did not have a top. Meg the
hen met Ken.

Meg pet Ken. Meg fed Ken. Meg
and Ken had fun. “I am Ken’s
mom,” said Meg the hen. Meg
got a hug and kiss.
