Seventh Voyage of Sinbad

A long time ago, before there were airplanes, there was a sailor called Sinbad. He

was known for his dangerous adventures, and this is the story of one of his last.

One day Sinbad was called by his best friend and asked to deliver some things to

a king across the sea. Sinbad was afraid of this exact sea because every time Sinbad

sailed in this area he was attacked by sea monsters and was stuck on an island. Just last

year a huge, long, green sea monster stranded him on an island. However, Sinbad didn’t

want his friend to think he was scared of the sea so he agreed.

The next day, Sinbad went on a boat with lots of gifts for the king. They arrived

at the king’s palace safely, and Sinbad was rewarded with gold by the king for being

brave enough to cross the sea.

Then Sinbad went back on the ship to return home. However, this time, this ship was

attacked by pirates. The pirates were all big men with huge beards. The captain had the biggest

beard of them all, and a red parrot on his shoulder. The pirates took all of Sinbad’s gold and left

him on a raft. Sinbad didn’t lose hope that he would survive this. He survived many other

dangerous trips like the time he was chased by elephants. Then who would be passing by but.. It

was a huge, green and long thing in the water, it was the sea monster that attacked Sinbad last

year!
The sea monster was a smart monster and remembered Sinbad, and then it felt sad that it

was mean to him. As an apology, the sea monster destroyed the pirate ship and ate all the pirates.

Sinbad asked the monster why it helped him. When the monster told Sinbad, he was

surprised. The monster then asked if it could help a little more, after all, the monster was going

to eat the pirates anyway for lunch. Sinbad thought and asked the sea monster to push the raft

home. Sinbad never lost hope and it helped him. You too should never lose hope.
