Spreading awareness about Smog;

1.Basic education about smog should be included in the

curriculums of schools and colleges in order to make the
future generation aware about such burning issues.
2.The national government can help spread awareness by
releasing some advertisements nation wide.Also, the areas
where the problem is much serious (like Delhi),their state
government can take special measures to curb the issue
like display of posters/banners/warnings on the
roads/appropriate places.
3.As pollution problem being root cause, equal awareness
has to be spread about pollution problems and their
consequences/problems along with smog education.
4.Making people aware about traffic rules and how their
carelessness to petty issues can lead to severe problems
for themselves and others.
Suggesting technical measures for vehicles so that the
minimized visibility during smog does not lead to road
accidents.
1.Working on headlight model for vehicles for such
regions,which uses such lights such as can pierce the
smog but without causing any harmful radiations.
2. As much as smog is easily visible when it’s present in
the atmosphere, the use of appropriate smog detectors and
monitoring systems can act as early warning systems.
Respective metrological departments can help with this
by installing monitoring equipment that consistently
records the amount of emission and particulate matter in
the air.

Such a strategy is the Air Quality Index (AQI) or the

Clean Air Act which is used for reporting and monitoring
the relative concentrations of common air pollutants and
ground-level ozone. Nonetheless, this measure only
monitors the levels of the smog causing pollutants in the
air and subsequently helps in putting in place strategies
that can cut back emissions and air pollution. Preventive
measures are the best in the very first place.

3. The warning system can help us to know the level of

air pollution then we can switch our cars to the mode
where less emission takes place (it might be possible that
this technique may not be efficient and might lead to non
optimal usage of fuel so we switch that mode on when
sensor detects the smog level.)
