DM.

ABSTRACT
Aim: To determine the relation of work load on diabetes mellitus management
behavior type 2 in public health center II North Denpasar.
Method: This study employed analytic design with cross sectional approach. There
were 35 respondents used as the sample who complied inclusion and exclusion
criteria. This study employed questionnaire to acquire the sample. The data were
analyzed by using spearman rho technique.
Finding: The finding acquired that the work load was low by median value (45,00)
approaching maximum value (61,00). The diabetes mellitus management behavior
was low by median value (58,8) approaching minimum value (40.0). It meant that
there was the relation of work load on diabetes mellitus management behavior type
2 leaded to negative correlation (p value= 0,001 (p value < 0,05), r = -0,563)
Conclusion: The higher work load, the lower diabetes mellitus management
behavior type 2. The high work load can provide negative impact to diabetes
mellitus patient, particularly on diabetes mellitus management behavior.

Key Words: Work Load, Behavior, Diabetes Mellitus Management.

ABSTRACT
Aim: To determine the correlation between workload and type 2 diabetes mellitus
(DM) management behavior in Public Health Center II North Denpasar.
Method: This study employed analytic design with cross sectional approach. There
were 35 respondents used as the sample who had met the inclusion and exclusion
criteria. Data were collected by using questionnaire and analyzed by using the
Spearman Rho test.
Finding: The findings indicated that the workload was high, in which the median
(45.00) was close to the maximum value (61.00), whereas the DM management
behavior was low, in which the mean (58.8) was close to the minimum value (40.0).
Spearman Rho analysis showed that there was a significant and negative correlation
between the workload and type 2 DM management behavior (p value = 0.001: <
0.05: r = -0.563).
Conclusion: The higher the workload, the lower the type 2 DM management
behavior. The high workload can bring negative impact to patients with DM,
particularly on the implementation of DM management.
