Bird’s Eye

Camera is higher than subject

Below the subject looking up at the subject
Dutch Tilt
Just a slight tilt but

just enough so that the subject isn’t

completely straight

The view of the subject when

it is forward-facing
Back
The view of the subject when it is backward-facing

What the camera sees is the face

but the body is mostly turned

the other way

Half-turned but the view is

mostly back and if

it's a person the chin

will be lined up with the shoulder

Rule of Thirds
If the photo had a grid on it with two lines

running horizontally and vertically,

rule of thirds would be have the object of the photo

placed in one of the intersections.

Creative Lighting
Creative lighting can be the primary force in an picture

Like natural lighting (sun), flash, flash positioning

and studio lighting. It is also concentrated lighting that

isn’t overhead lighting.
