The most important goal would be is clean water and sanitation because our world need these

two things to be able to live. There are a few other reasons as to why this goal is important. The

United Nations states, “However, due to bad economics or poor infrastructure, millions of people

including children die every year from diseases associated with inadequate water supply,

sanitation and hygiene.” This is why we need clean water. Nobody wants to see children and

adults die each year because clean water cannot go through the process of cleaning it. Also stated

by the United Nations is, “At the current time, more than 2 billion people are living with the risk

of reduced access to freshwater resources.” We want these people to be able to access clean

water, but it is very difficult considering these people come from many different places away

from the United States and they cannot all be taken here because the population would increase

insanely. Drought in specific afflicts some of the poorest countries in the world, worsening

hunger and nutrition. A good this that is in the process of being accomplished is that this past

decade, 90% of the world’s population now has access to improved sources of drinking water. In

conclusion, Goal 6, which is clean water and sanitation is the most important because many

people in this world don’t have access to clean water, and by telling other people how delivering

clean water to other places where there is no access to it can really change these people’s lives

and can make them be healthy and sanitary.
