1. New features for XENTRY Kit | Kit 2 and XENTRY Diagnosis Kit 3 systems

XENTRY Diagnosis Software:

The XENTRY Diagnosis Redesign 2018 has been developed further.
It has already been possible to perform diagnosis based on a customer
complaint since Release 05/2018.
The customer complaint recorded during service reception in XENTRY
Portal is now transferred directly to the diagnosis software. If an active
job is recorded in XENTRY Portal for a vehicle (Mercedes-Benz Cars,
smart and Van), the customer complaint recorded there is transferred to
XENTRY Diagnosis and displayed. It can be used to access diagnosis in a
targeted manner.

Rollout of the feedback tool has started in XENTRY Diagnosis in

individual markets. This allows you to provide feedback on diagnosis
content. Please use this function if it is available in your market. The
feedback tool can be accessed via the feedback button at the top right of
XENTRY Diagnosis.

The first feedback that we have received to date has already proven very helpful.
Example: Engine electronics control unit, sensor rotor adaptation: "Specified and actual value are displayed
incorrectly."

Important: The feedback tool is not a replacement for XSF. You will not receive an immediate response to your
feedback.
Please continue to use XSF for time-critical or important topics/faults.

2. New features for XENTRY Kit | Kit 2 systems

Online updates of control unit software (Regio-DVD, Digital Operator's Manual):

The control unit software can (as is the case for XENTRY Diagnosis Kit 3)
be transferred on a fully automatic basis from the Retail Data Storage to
the XENTRY Kit | Kit 2 and then onto the control units in the vehicle. This
has to be configured once in XENTRY Control.

Online updates of XENTRY Kit | Kit 2 units ("Release" update):

In the XENTRY Update Service Control Center (administration tool for Retail Data Storage) it is possible to
configure the system to also download XENTRY Kit | Kit 2 updates to the Retail Data Storage. After this has been
configured once, the XENTRY Kit | Kit 2 updates are also downloaded at the same time. These have to be copied
to a USB storage device, which is then used for installation onto the XENTRY Kit | Kit 2.

3. New features in data scope for Vans

Basic diagnosis is available for the electric drive Vito (eVito).

Diagnosis-based power disconnection and initial startup are possible.

Extra functionality will be supplied later in add-ons.

Model series: 447 (V-Class/Vito)

System: N154 – Air conditioning HVAC447

Additional tests are available for the components of the air conditioning of the eVito.

4. Online update provision/data storage media

Note:

As of 10/2019, data provision via Blu-ray and DVD will be discontinued.

Replacement by online update through XENTRY Update Service

 For technical and logistical reasons and also due to the growing data volumes, updating via Blu-ray/DVD
will no be longer be possible as of 10/2019!
 From this point in time, diagnosis updates and control unit software (Regio DVD, Digital Operator's Manual)
will only be available online through the XENTRY Update Service.
 Please adjust your processes to online data supply as soon as possible.
 It is mandatory to introduce the Retail Data Storage system in time for the changeover. This offers the
following advantages:
 Quicker data availability
 Automatic download of required control unit software during the diagnosis session
 No administration effort for data storage media (ordering, storing etc.)
 Ordering takes place through the same channels for ordering vehicle diagnosis systems.
