S9 vs iPhone X

Choosing a phone can be a hard decision. If you are going for one of the best of the

company, then you’ve probably narrowed it down to the iPhone X and the S9. Then you have a

difficult question to answer. Which one is higher-grade? Most people that already own an Apple

say the iPhone X is better while people that own a Samsung say the S9 is better. Here we are

going to investigate to finally determine which one is the best.

The S9, like most Samsungs, is much cheaper than Apple devices. Samsungs also have

bigger screens, for example, by diagonal the S9 is almost an inch larger than the iPhone X. The

S9’s face recognition is also easier to use than the iPhone X. The S9 also can expand memory up

to 400GB while the iPhone X can’t. One of the big problems with the iPhone X is that it is ‘too

sleek’. It seems that the designers cared too much about the design that they didn’t put a

headphone jack in. This forces the user to buy wireless headphones while the S9 does have a

headphone jack. There was this same problem with the iPhone 7 which now earned Apple the

name ‘The company that killed the headphone jack’.

Apple can have some good things. The iPhone X uses an A11 bionic chip (it is a 64-bit ARM-

based system designed by Apple and manufactured by TSMC). It is better than the Snapdragon

1
845 which the S9 uses because the A11 is more energy-efficient. Apple also has choicer

packages/deals, for example, Family Sharing, where you can share more deals or software you

bought with your family. This is one reason why large families often have Apple devices. The

iPhone X’s AR emojis also seem more appealing to customers than Samsung’s animojis.

The S9 also has the best camera on a smartphone. It is advertised as ‘A camera that does the

impossible’. The S9 has a double aperture, which supports modes F1.5 and F2.4. The F1.5 helps

automatically brighten up pictures in the dark while the F2.4 mode helps detail pictures in

daylight.

The iPhone X is $999 at its cheapest while the S9 is about $750 at its cheapest. This is when the

S9 gets a huge advantage since it is much cheaper than the iPhone X. The iPhone X is also more

fragile and prone to break. The iPhone X also uses up the battery faster even though it does have

a better display, and a stricter App Store.

After ‘analyzing’ the facts, it seems that the S9 is better. The battle between the S9 and the

iPhone X was fair until the price was mentioned. Then the scale tipped and the S9 got the

2
spotlight. Then we know that the iPhone X is expensive and it’s not what it’s worth. Now you

know that the S9 is more cost-effective than the iPhone X.
