Are you the first person in your family to go to college? Yes, my mother wanted to go to nursing school
but did not end up pursuing it because she had children. My father would’ve ended up going to college, but he
had to start work at a young to help support his family and never got around to college.

What are your two strongest attributes? What makes them strengths?
Attribute #1: Compassion
I think compassion is because a lot of people get angered quickly. Because I’m compassionate, I consider
other aspects before jumping to conclusions. It makes me more understanding and quicker to come up with a
solution or maintain a steady temper.

Attribute #2: Imagination/ Creativity

My imagination leads me to create new things and see from different perspectives. I use my imagination while
listening to lectures and draw. This allows me to only focus on drawing and hearing. My information retainment
is better.

What is an area you need to improve in? What will you do to improve in this area?
Area: Desire to try new things
While I don’t avoid new things or put in less effort, they do scare me a little. The unknowing is what makes me
wary. I will just continue to try new things under I’m open to them willingly.

Strongest Subject: AP Calculus AB
While I may not grasp every concept in this class at the quickest pace, I have put in more work than ever to
make sure that I understand future concepts. With a great teacher, I have become pretty good at calculus. It
doesn’t come naturally to me like most things, but makes me work for my success and that makes it stand out.

Most Difficult Subject: AP English Language and Composition

The reason this is my most difficult subject is because it is so easy. I find that, because I know I can finish the
assignments and grasp all the concepts easily, I tend to put it off. This has taken a toll on my grades and
made it end up being the only “B” I have.

XI. Next Steps

​Who inspires you? What attributes do they have they inspire you? What can you do to inspire others?
Ms.Mardi, my magnet coordinator, inspires me. She has managed this magnet program for so many
years but has kept it fresh. This program is a little family and it keeps us on track and Ms. Mardi treats us with
so much care. She is truly passionate about her career and I hope one day I can have so many people trust
me and be as successful as she is.

What clubs or activities can you join to gain experience in your intended career field?

Because I don’t know what my intended career field is, I can just join a bunch of clubs to find what my interest
is or what I would like to do professionally.
