Specific Measurable Attainable Realistic Timely

Remember to be specific with your goals. A specific goal has a much greater chance of
being accomplished than a general goal. To set a specific goal you must answer the six
“W” questions:

*Who: Who is involved?


*What: What do I want to accomplish?
*Where: Identify a location.
*When: Establish a time frame.
*Which: Identify requirements and constraints.
*Why: Specific reasons, purpose or benefits of accomplishing the goal.

EXAMPLE: A general goal would be, “Get in shape.” But a specific goal would say,
“Join a health club and workout 3 days a week.”

1) My ACADEMIC goal is: Graduate from a 4 year university while


increasing my professional knowledge in the process.

Three steps I will take to complete this goal are:
a) Having a growth mindset to be prepared mentally for any
challenges in the way.
b) Be motivated into learning.
c) Not giving up be resilient in the process.

2) My LEADERSHIP/SERVICE goal is: Trying to see the bigger picture in


things and making the situation more smoothly for the people or business im
leading.

a) Learn to know how to learn from my mistakes.
b) Being able to recognise success more in order to show your
leadership skills.
c) Set higher goals for myself in order to get to that elite leader
status.
3) For next semester, my personal goal is: personal goal is be more on top of
things and be motivated.

a) Take the initiative to being more motivated.
b) Set reminders to actually make me on top of things till I get
the hang of doing so.
c) Have the mindset of being positive to have this goal work.
