Olivia pulled up into the highschool student parking lot. Olivia and her best friend Paige

got out of the car and began to grab their bags like they did everyday. But something seemed off.

Paige was a very outgoing person, she loves making new friends, and she always saw the good in

everything. Over the school year her attitude began to change, Paige started missing more and

more days of school and everytime Olivia would try to talk to her Paige would shut her out.

Olivia was going to change that today.

Olivia attempted to make conversation with her.“So Paige, are you nervous for the

science test?” Olivia asked. Paige didn’t answer, she looked down and kept on walking. Finally

Olivia broke, she grab Paige's hand and forced her to make eye contact with her. “Paige I don't

know what’s going on but you have changed in a very bad way and you know that you can tell

me anything. So please tell me what’s going on I want to help you,”.

Paige did not say a word, the bell rung and she finally spoke,”I need to go,” and she

walked away.

During the school day Olivia could not stop thinking about her hurt friend. School was

finished so Olivia decided to drive over to Paige’s house.

“Paige?” Olivia said out loud while knocking on the door. After a couple of minutes there

was finally an answer.

“Oh...hey,” Paige’s eyes were bright red.

“Paige your eyes there...have you been crying?” Olivia asked with a worried look.

“What? Umm no I was just...just,” Paige was attempted to finish her sentence but Olivia

quickly interrupted.

“I can tell when you are lying to me,”said Olivia.

Paige sighed and let her friend in. Olivia walked to the kitchen and saw her friend’s

phone and her notifications stated to off. Olivia picked up Paige’s phone and saw the hundreds of

mean and hurtful texts that her friend had been getting. She realized that her had been getting

bullied. Paige was in complete horror that her friend had found out her secret.

Olivia’s eyes began to fill up with tears,”How could you not tell me this?”

“I was scared, I didn’t know how to handle this so I just kept it to myself, but lately it has

been so hard trying to hold it in,” Paige repiled.

“When you are getting bullied it’s okay to tell someone because if you don’t say anything

it just makes everything worse,”Olivia told Paige.

After that moment the two best friends decided not to keep any more secrets between

each other. The next day at school Paige enough courage to tell the Principal about all the

bullying that she had been receiving this school year. The school quickly reacted and solved the

bullying problem. Paige turn back into her normal self and Olivia is glad to have her best friend

back again.
