A rare cat fur mite: Lynxacarus radovskyi – case report

ABSTRACT

A female Persian cat aged six years was presented to University Veterinary Hospital, Mannuthy with the
clinical signs of pruritus, focal alopecia, bite marks around the area of neck and base of the ears.
Microscopical examination of the skin scrapings revealed, a rare feline fur mite Lynxacarus radovskyi.
The case was successfully treated with acaricidal drug. The details of the case will be discussed later.
