Networking Summer Assignment

Randy & Tray 6/2 Randy owns a key making business in Newport News.
He is from Virginia but he has moved all over because
of the military: even living in England and Germany at
one point when he was a child. He has two children
himself and a wife named Chrissy.

Tray is a part time personal trainer and stay at home

mom. She was born in North Carolina and later moved
to Yorktown. She has one daughter and is currently
expecting another.

I met both of them on the beach at the oceanfront.

Wendy & Joey 7/5 Wendy and Joey are my neighbors and they asked me
to housesit over the summer.

Wendy is a PE teacher at Renaissance academy who

went to Virginia Tech. She is married to Joey
Caruthers and has a daughter who just recently
enrolled in a military academy. One of her favorite
hobbies is gardening.

Joey Caruthers is also a PE teacher but he teaches at

Kempsville Middle. He attended ODU in college and is
even in their basketball hall of fame. Mr.Caruthers can
often be found in his home watching the cooking
channel in his free time.
Karen Campbell 7/30
I met Karen through volleyball, she eventually
announced that she would become our assistant
coach.

Karen went to Bucknell University in Pennsylvania,

where she played volleyball for three years. Her last
year of college she decided to study abroad and went
to England.
Tyler 8/2
Tyler is an old friend of my mom who I met for the
first time at a wedding.

Tyler is the partial owner of a golf course that he helps

run in Chesterfield. Although he resides in
Chesterfield, he is originally from Maryland. He
attended CNU as a college student and got a
bachelors in business.
Mrs.New 8/30
Mrs.New is very active in the school community, she
often volunteers and that is how I met her at the
Granby vs Kempsville volleyball game.

Mrs.New is very involved in school activities. She is

the team mom for the boys’ volleyball team and the
president of the booster club. As a hobby she enjoys
baking and cooking.
Esther & Dan 9/2
At a recent Labor Day party at my home I met Esther
and Dan, who are friends of my mom.

Esther is a waitress and an at home jewelry maker.

She is from Nevada and moved to Virginia Beach as a
child. Something interesting about Esther is that she
loves halloween, she has already started making her
costume for this year.

Dan is a helicopter technician in the US military. Dan is

originally from Virginia Beach and lives in the Bayside
area. Dan is married to Esther and they share two
children together.
