What did you learn about writing and about yourself as a writer through writing 
this piece? 
 
What I learned as a writer is that may take some emotional depth to develop a strong 
and intimate topic that would allow readers to take away meaningful thoughts to be 
able to reflect on their own selves.  
 
What is the one thing you want people to particularly notice when they look at 
this piece? 
 
What I want people to take away when they look at this piece is the ability to reflect on 
what they have around them in their life at the moment. I would want people to 
reflect on what they believe is important to them just as I did but most importantly, I 
want people to appreciate the relationships they made with people, good or bad, 
because that is what helps us grow as people.  
 
What would you change if you had the chance to do this piece all over again? 
 
Overall, I am proud of how this essay turned out. The prompt was one that I enjoyed 
responding to and the thought process came easily to me. If I had the chance to do 
this essay over again, I would not change much.
