WORKS DONE IN HRLN

Vishal Kumar Singh

I first got to know about the Human Rights Law Network during my internship. Since then I
have been regularly associated with HRLN in its works in Bihar.

The details of my work are provided below:

Works done for the Human Rights Law Network in as an intern in Patna in 2015:

As an intern, I was given files of bail petitions and bail on records for documentation. I did
documentation of files, court visits including Patna High court and Bihar land tribunal. Filed a
PIL for the patients suffering from AIDS in Patna Medical College Hospital, whereby a patient
got a compensation along with free medical aid through the government of Bihar by the order of
Hon’ble High Court. During this internship, I attended Ulgulan-an International seminar on
Human Rights held in Panchgani, Maharashtra.

Works done for the Human Rights Law Network in Gaya:

- Facilitated and helped in organizing two day consultation programme of HRLN and
Prayas NGO in Bodhgaya in 2017.
- Facilitated and helped in organizing the Human Rights Day in Central University of
South Bihar, Gaya with the aid of HRLN Patna in 2017.
- Facilitated and helped in organizing the Legal Services Day in Central University of
South Bihar, Gaya in association with HRLN and TISS in 2017.
- Facilitated the Jail Visit programme of Gaya Central Jail by HRLN and TISS in 2017.
- Visited and prepared the report of Anjana Rape and Murder case in Gaya in 2019.
Currently working on this case.
Works done for the Human Rights Law Network in Patna:

- Helped in organizing the consultation programme of HRLN and Prayas NGO in Bihar
State Aids Control Samiti, Patna in 2018.
- Helped in organizing the consultation programme on sexual and reproductive rights of
HRLN and Prayas NGO in Bihar State Aids Control Samiti, Patna in 2018.

Works done for the Human Rights Law Network in Araria:

- I contacted Mr. Ashish of Jan Jagran Manch of Araria and coordinated further
information of the mob lynching case to Deepak Sir.

Works done for the Human Rights Law Network in Kaimur:

- A girl was killed in Kaimur district of Bihar on 17th January, 2018. The police force is
allegedly making it a case of train accident. Further research is being done in this regard.
