SAMPLE OF TESTIMONIES

(TESTIMONY 1)

I was born in a Buddhist family. Before I knew Jesus, I was confused as to whether I worshipped
Buddhism or Taoism as I didn’t know the difference and doubted its existence and was basically as
free thinker.

I got to know Jesus from my ex-colleague, Julie Tang, a Calvarite. She invited me to Calvary Church
whenever there was an event, like Easter, Christmas, Musical & etc. Initially, I declined but slowly, I
was touched by her perseverance.

I attended one church service and was moved by Senior Pastor’s preaching and I accepted Jesus as
my Lord and Saviour in 2011.

Since I accepted Jesus, whenever I faced difficulties, be it family matter, work or health issue, I knew
Jesus was with me. When a door was shut, another window was opened for me. Jesus shared my
burden, my happiness and my sadness. I now have become more cheerful, positive and have more
smiles on my face.

I took the step of water baptism as a declaration of my faith in Jesus and what He has done for me. I
felt great joy and peace that I have never felt as much after I took the step of being baptised in water
by immersion

I can boldly declare that Jesus is my shelter and refuge holding on to my hands to move forward in
life.

(TESTIMONY 2)

I was born in a traditional Chinese family, practicing Chinese culture and tradition. My husband,
Denver who is a believer brought me to church. It was in a pre-marriage course in 2015 that I
accepted Jesus as my Lord and Personal Saviour. When I accepted Jesus at that time was to have the
same faith and belief as my husband.

After accepting Jesus, I never really walk close with God. I swayed from Him. Jesus loves me so much
even though I was disobedient to Him. Just like the prodigal son, He brought me back and restored
me to Himself.

With Jesus, He has given me strength and peace during my darkest season. He helped me to endure
the challenges in life. He blessed me with 3 beautiful children and a wonderful family. He has blessed
me and my family with financial provision.

I took the step of being baptised in water as a declaration of my journey with the Lord and I felt the
assurance of His salvation.

I will continue to build my relationship with God, walking in obedience knowing that Jesus is always
with me.
