To Whom It May Concern:

As Director of the Worship Dance Ministry (Ministerio de Danza Shekinah) at Iglesia Las Buenas
Nuevas in Norwich, Connecticut, it has been a pleasure working directly with Sasha A.
Hernandez in this ministry. Miss Hernandez, although quiet, has a strong presence in our group.
She is always early, never misses a practice and not only does she help others to also be able to
continue in this ministry but, she always comes with new ideas and suggestions. For our
practices we meet EVERY Wednesday at 6:30pm until 8:30pm and under special circumstances
we meet on Saturdays as well where we either continue to practice or begin our fasting in the
morning from 8am until 12:00pm. Miss Hernandez is one of the most responsible girls in our
group.

Not only does Miss Hernandez participate in our Worship Dance Ministry at our church, she is
also an active member in our Youth Ministry where she has served as our Secretary/Treasurer.
To be an active member of our Youth Ministry means to participate in our monthly youth
services and to attend weekly reunions where the youth practices something special or meets
for a bible study.

Throughout these 3 years of knowing and working directly with Miss Hernandez, I can truthfully
say that our church wouldn’t be the same without her. She is a strong-minded, good-hearted,
smart and remarkable young lady. She has the passion, the commitment and the drive that
most young adults lack. She continuously looks to bring our youth members together by
bringing new ideas and new ways for them to share and be more involved in the community.

She is the first in her home to be able to attend College and I know she will finish and achieve
her goals not only for her but, for her family and her younger siblings whom she sets an
example for every day. Her hard work and effort will get her very far in life and there is no
doubt in my mind that she will succeed. She is very deserving of this scholarship and will
continue to be a blessing in any community she is a part of.
