Arogante 11- STEM A

My Day
Kring! Kring! My alarm clock rang, reminding me to wake up and fulfill the day to
make a living. Looking at my daughter who’s still asleep, slowly removing her
arms not to wake her up. My hair was all messy but I don’t have time to fix it. I
need to go to the market before 2o’clock strike.
I hurriedly prepare all the ingredients together, not minding the dripping water
from our old, leaky hose. “Lala palagay na yung isaw sa lugaw para lumambot
agad!”, while putting all the noodles to the boiling water. I started cooking
spaghetti, pacit bihon, canton and malabon.
‘Nak gising na baka ma-late ka pa!’ my voice echoed in our small room. I
brushed my teeth as fast as I could, for the food downstairs not to get burned.
Shortly, I get my daughter’s lunchbox, wake her up and fix her things.
“Pa-kiss na po ma, papasok na 'ko” she kissed my cheeks and gave me a hug
that makes me hold on. ‘I love you mom’ she said, with a smile that made my
day.
I served all of our customers that came, despite of my body that’s still in pain. I
wore a smile for the job well done, for fulfilling my job as a single mom.
