Dua‟a As-Simaat

ُ
ِ ‫تِغُِ اٌلِٗ اٌشَدِّٓ اٌشَدي‬

‫دػاء اٌغّاخ‬
DUA‟A AS-SIMAAT

It is recommended to recite this dua‟a in the last hour before Mahgrib on Friday. Al-Majlisi
says that most the pious religious scholars used to recite this dua'a. It is is narrated in
Shaykh Tusi‟s “Almusbah”, Sayyid ibna Tawus‟s “Jamal Al-„Usboo‟a” and in Kafami‟s
books on the authority of Muhammad ibn Uthman Al-Umri, the representative of Imam
Sahibuz Zaman (aj) with reliable sanads. The dua‟a is also narrated from Imam Baqer (as)
and Imam Sadeq (as). Al-Majlasi narrates it in “Al-Bihar” and explains its meanings.
Following is the dua‟a according to Sheikh Tusi‟s “Almusbah”:

O’ Allah! I beseech You through allahumma in-neee as aluka bis-


mikal-az’eemil-aa-z’ami
َ‫ََُ أِّي اَعِاٌَُهَ تِاعِِّه‬ٙ‫اٌٍَّـ‬
Your Name, the great, the most
great, َُِ‫اٌْؼٍظيُِ األَػّظ‬
the most majestic, the most l-aa’z-zil aja lil ak-rami
َِ ٍ‫األَػَضُ ِ األَجًٍُ ِ األَ وْش‬
magnificent and the most noble.

If You are requested therewith to al-lad’ee id’aa due’eta bihi a’laa


maghaaliqi ab-waabis-samaa-
ِ‫اٌَزي اِرا دَػيدٍ تِِٗ ػٍَٰى َِغاٌِك‬
open the closed doors of the sky
these will open with Your mercy. lilil-fat-h’i bir’rah’ mati ka in ِ‫ابِ اٌغَّاءِ ٌٍِْفَرْخِ تِاٌشَدٍِّح‬ّٛ‫اَت‬
fatah’at
،ِ‫أْفَرَذٍد‬
If You are requested thereby to wa id’aa due’eta bihi a’laa
maz”aaa-iqi ab- waabil-arz”i lil-
ِ‫ٍاِرا دَػيدٍ تِِٗ ػٍَٰى َِضائِك‬ٚ
remove the narrowness of the
doors of the earth, they will be farajin-farajat ،ِ‫ابِ األَسِضِ ٌٍِْفَشٍجِ أْ َف ٍشجٍد‬ّٛ‫اَت‬
opened wide.
If You are requested thereby to wa id’aa due’eta bihi a’laal-u’s-
ri lil-yus-ri tayas-sarat
ِ‫ٍاِرا دَػيدٍ تِِٗ ػٍََٰى اٌؼَغِش‬ٚ
make easy the difficulty, it will
be made easy. ،ِ‫ٌٍِْيَغِشِ ذَيٍغَشٍخ‬
If You are requested thereby to wa id’aa due’eta bihi a’laal-am-
waati lin nushoorin-tasharat
ِ‫اخ‬َِّٛ‫ٍاِرا دَػيدٍ تِِٗ ػٍََٰى األ‬ٚ
restore the dead to life, they will
rise from their graves. ،ِ‫سِ أْرَشَشٍخ‬ُٛ‫ٌٍُِٕش‬
If You are requested thereby to wa id’aa due’eta bihi a’laa kash
–fil-ba-saaa-i waz”-z”ar-raaa-
ِ‫ٍاِرا دَػيدٍ تِِٗ ػٍَٰى وَشْف‬ٚ
remove misery and adversity, it
will be removed. in-kashafat ،ِ‫ٍاٌضَشُاءِ أْىَشَفَد‬ٚ ِ‫اٌْثٍأعاء‬
I beseech You through the wa bijalaali waj-hikal-kareem
ُِ‫ِهَ اٌْىَشي‬ِٙ‫ٍج‬ٚ ِ‫ٍتِجٍالي‬ٚ
Majesty of Your person,
Dua‟a As-Simaat

the Most Generous ak-ram-wujohi


َِٖٛ‫َج‬ٌْٛ‫اَوْشٍَِ ا‬

and the Most Honoured One, wa aa’z-zil-wujooh


َِٖٛ‫َج‬ٌْٛ‫ٍاَػَضُ ِ ا‬ٚ

before Whom everybody bows al-lad’ee a’nat lahul-wujooh


َُٖٛ‫َج‬ٌْٛ‫اٌَزي ػََٕدِ ٌَُٗ ا‬
down in submission

and all necks bend down in wa khaz”aat lahur-riqaab


َ‫ٍخٍضٍؼٍدِ ٌَُٗ اٌشُ ِلاب‬ٚ
reverence

and all voices become humbled wa khashaa’t lahul-as’-waat


َ‫اخ‬ِٛ‫ٍخٍشَؼٍدِ ٌَُٗ األَص‬ٚ

and all hearts tremble; through wa wajilat lahul-quloobu mim-


makhaafatika
ِِِٓ َ‫ب‬ٍُُٛ‫اٌْم‬ ٌَُٗ ِ‫ٍجٍَِد‬ٍٚٚ
His fear
،َ‫َِخافَرِه‬
and I beseech You through Your wa bi-qo-watikal-latee bihaa
tum-sikus-samaaa-a an taqaa’
ُ‫ا ُذِّغِه‬ِٙ‫َذِهَ اٌَري ت‬ُٛ‫ٍتِم‬ٚ
Might, which prevents the heaven
from falling on the earth except a’laal-arz”i il-laa bid’nika ّ‫اٌغَّاءَ اَْْ ذَمَغٍ ػٍََٰى األَسِضِ إأل‬
with Your permission,
،َ‫تِاِرِْٔه‬
and which controls all the wa tum-sikus-samaaati wal-ar-
z”a an tazoolaa
َْْ‫ٍاألَسِضٍ ا‬ٚ ِ‫اخ‬ٚ‫ٍذُِّغِهُ اٌغَّا‬ٚ
heavens and the earth so closely
that they cannot move away from ،‫أل‬َٚ‫ذَض‬
their positions;
and I beseech You through Your wa bi-masheee-atikal-latee dal-
lahaal-a’alamoon
‫ٍا‬ٌَٙ َْ‫دا‬ ‫اٌَري‬ َ‫ٍتٍِّشِيَرِه‬ٚ
Will, which the whole world
obeys, ،ٌَََّْٛ‫اٌْؼا‬
and through Your Word. By wa bi-kalimatikal-latee khalaq-
ta bihaas-samaawaati wal-arz”
‫ٍا‬ٙ‫ٍتِىٍٍَِّرِهَ اٌَري خٍٍَمْدٍ ِت‬ٚ
which You have created the
heaven and the earth, ،ٍ‫ٍاألَسِض‬ٚ ِ‫اخ‬ٚ‫اٌغَّا‬
and through Your Wisdom, with wa bi-kalimatikal-latee s’ana’-ta
bihaal-a’jaaa-iba
‫ٍا‬ِٙ‫ٍتِذِىٍّْرِهَ اٌَري صٍَٕؼِدٍ ت‬ٚ
which You have created the
wonders, ‫ة‬
ٍ ِ‫اٌْؼٍجائ‬
and with which You created wa khalaq-ta bihaaz’ z’ul-mata
َ‫ٍا اٌظٍٍُّْح‬ِٙ‫ٍخٍٍَمْدٍ ت‬ٚ
Darkness

and made it Night, wa jaa’l-tahaa laylan


‫ا ٌَيِالا‬َٙ‫ٍجٍؼٍٍْر‬ٚ

and made night the time of quiet wa jaa’l-tal-layla sakanaa


ً‫ٍجٍؼٍٍْدٍ اٌٍَيًٍِ عٍىَٕا‬ٚ
and rest;

and with which You created wa khalaq-ta bihaan-noora


ٍ‫س‬ٌُٕٛ‫ٍا ا‬ِٙ‫ٍخٍٍَمْدٍ ت‬ٚ
Light
Dua‟a As-Simaat

and made it Day, wa jaa’l-tahu naharaa


ً‫اسا‬َٙٔ َُٗ‫ٍجٍؼٍٍْر‬ٚ

and made day the time of wa jaa’l tan-nahaaara


nushooraam-mub-s’iraa
،ً‫ساً ُِثِصِشا‬ُٛ‫اسٍ ُٔش‬ٌَٕٙ‫ٍجٍؼٍٍْدٍ ا‬ٚ
movement and observation;

and with which You have created wa khalaq-ta bihaashamsa


ٍ‫ٍا اٌشَِّظ‬ِٙ‫ٍخٍٍَمْدٍ ت‬ٚ
the Sun,

and made the sun gleam wa jaa’l-tash-sham-sa z”i-yaaa-


a
،ً‫ٍجٍؼٍٍْدٍ اٌشَِّظٍ ضِياء‬ٚ

And with which You have wa khalaq-ta bihaal qamara


ٍ‫ٍا اٌْمٍَّش‬ِٙ‫ٍخٍٍَمْدٍ ت‬ٚ
created the Moon,

and made the moon light; wa jaa’l-tal-qamara nooraa


،ً‫سا‬ُٛٔ ٍ‫ٍجٍؼٍٍْدٍ اٌْمٍَّش‬ٚ

and with which You have created wa khalaq-ta bihaal-kawaakiba


ٍ‫ا وِة‬َٛ‫ٍا اٌْى‬ِٙ‫ٍخٍٍَمْدٍ ت‬ٚ
heavenly bodies,

and made them fixed stars and wa jaa’l tahaa nujoomaaw-wa


buroojaaw-
ً‫جا‬َٚ‫ٍتُش‬ٚ ً‫ِا‬َٛ‫ا ُٔج‬َٙ‫ٍجٍؼٍٍْر‬ٚ
planets,

and lamps for guidance at night, wa mas’aabeeh’a wa zeenataw-


wa rujooma
،ً‫ِا‬َٛ‫ٍسَج‬ٚ ً‫ٍصيَٕح‬ٚ ٍ‫ٍَِصاتيخ‬ٚ
and as a means of decoration, and
missiles for driving away devils,
and have created for them east wa jaa’l-ta lahaa mashaariqa qa
maghaarib
ٍ‫ٍَِغاسِب‬ٚ ٍ‫ا َِشاسِق‬ٌَٙ ٍ‫ٍجٍؼٍٍْد‬ٚ
and west,

and have created for them the wa jaa’l ta lahaa mat’aalia wa


majaaree
،‫ٍَِجاسِي‬ٚ ٍ‫ا َِطاٌِغ‬ٌَٙ ٍ‫ٍجٍؼٍٍْد‬ٚ
places of ascendancy and orbits,

and created for them a firmament wa jaa’l ta lahaa falkaaw-wa


masaabih’
ٍ‫ٍَِغاتِـخ‬ٚ ً‫ا فٍََىا‬ٌَٙ ٍ‫ٍجٍؼٍٍْد‬ٚ
and sphere,

and fixed for them stages in the wa qad-dar-tahaa fis-samaaa-i


manazila
ٍ‫ا فِي اٌغَّأءِ َِٕا ِصي‬َٙ‫ٍلَذَسِذ‬ٚ
heaven

and how beautiful the stages faah’santa taq-deerahaa


،‫فَاَدِغٍْٕدٍ ذَمْذيشٍ٘ا‬

and shaped the stars and how wa s’aw-war-tahaa fa’ah’-santa


tas’-weeraha
‫يشٍ٘ا‬ِٛ‫ا فَاَدِغٍْٕدٍ ذَص‬َٙ‫َسِذ‬ٍٛ‫ٍص‬ٚ
beautiful the shapes

and made them stable through wa ah’ s’aytahaa bi-as-maaa-ika


ih’s’aaa-aa
ً‫ا تِاَعِّائِهَ اِدِصاء‬َٙ‫ٍاَدِصٍيِر‬ٚ
Your Name;

and from Your Wisdom You wa dab-bar-tahaa bi h’ik-matika


tad-beeraa
ً‫ا تِذِىٍّْرِهَ ذَذْتيشا‬َٙ‫ٍدٍتَشِذ‬ٚ
designed a system for them

and what a good system, fa ah’-san-ta tad-beerahaa


‫فأدِغٍْٕدٍ ذَذْتيشٍ٘ا‬

and controlled the heavenly wa sakh-har-tahaa bi-sul-t’aanil-


layli
ًِِ‫ا تِغٍَْطاِْ اٌٍَي‬َٙ‫ٍعٍخَشِذ‬ٚ
bodies through the king of the
night
and the king of day, wa sul-taani-nahaari
ِ‫اس‬ٌَٕٙ‫ٍعٍَْطاِْ ا‬ٚ

and through hours, making them was-saaa’ati wa a’dadis sineena


wal-h’saab
ٍ‫اٌغُـِٕي‬ ٍ‫ٍػَذَد‬ٚ ِ‫ٍاٌغُاػاخ‬ٚ
a means for the reckoning of
years and counting, ،ِ‫ٍاٌْذِغاب‬ٚ
making appearance of heavenly wa jaa’l-ta ru-yatahaalijameei’n-
naasi mar-aaw-waah’idaa
ِ‫ا ٌِجٍّيغِ إٌّاط‬َٙ‫ْيَر‬َٚ‫ٍجٍؼٍٍْدٍ س‬ٚ
bodies regular and universal.
ً‫ادِذا‬ٚ ً‫َِشِئى‬
And I beseech You, O Allah, wa-as-alukallahumma bimaj-
dika
‫ََُ تٍِّجِذِنَ اٌَزي‬ٌٍّٙ‫ٍاَعِاٌَُهَ ا‬ٚ
through Your Glory, with which
You addressed Your slave and al-lad’ee kal-lam-ta bihi a’ab- َ‫ٌَه‬َٛ‫ٍسٍع‬ٚ َ‫وٍََِّدٍ تِِٗ ػَثِذَن‬
Your Messenger, daka wa rasoolaka

Moses son of 'Imran peace be on moosab-na i’m-raana a’layhis


salaamu
ََ‫عٍٰى تٍّٓ ػِِّشاَْ ػٍََيِِٗ اٌغَال‬ُِٛ
him,

while he was in the company of fil-muwad-daseen


ٍ‫فِي اٌَّْمَذَعي‬
angels

which address even the favourite faw-qa ih’-saasil karoobee-yeen


‫ي‬
ٍ ‫ت‬ُٚ‫ِقٍ اِدِغاطِ اٌْىَش‬َٛ‫ف‬
cherubin could not ever hear,

above the clouds of light, faw-qa ghamaaa-imin-noor


ِ‫س‬ٌُٕٛ‫ِقٍ غَّائُِِ ا‬َٛ‫ف‬

above the box of evidence, faw-qa taabootish-shahaadah


ِ‫ادٍج‬َٙ‫خِ اٌش‬ُٛ‫ِقٍ ذات‬َٛ‫ف‬

within the pillar of fire fee a’moodin-naari


ِ‫دِ إٌّاس‬ََّٛ‫يف ػ‬

on Mount Sinai, wa fee t’oori saynaaa-a


َ‫سِ عٍيِٕاء‬ُٛ‫ٍيف ط‬ٚ

and on Mount Hurith wa fee jabali h’ooreetha


ٍ‫سيث‬َٛ‫ٍيف جٍثًٍِ د‬ٚ

in the Holy Vale fil-waadeel-muqad-dasi


ِ‫ادِ اٌَّْمَذَط‬ٌْٛ‫فِي ا‬

in the sacred tract of land fil-buq-a’til- mubaarakati


‫فِي اٌْثَمْؼٍحِ اٌَّْثاسٍ وَ ِح‬

to the right of Taurus Mountain- min jaanibit’-tooril-aymani


minash-shajarah
ٍِِٓ ٍِّّٓ‫سِ األَي‬ُٛ‫ِِِٓ جأِةِ اٌط‬
through a tree;
ِ‫اٌشَجٍشٍج‬
and again addressed him on the wa fee arz”i mis’ra
ٍ‫ٍيف اَسِضِ ِِصِش‬ٚ
soil of Egypt,

after showing nine clear signs bi-tis-i’aaa-yaatim bay-yinaat


،ٍ‫تِرِغِغِ آياخٍ تَيُـِٕاخ‬

and on the day You split the sea wa yaw-ma faraq-ta libaneee is-
raaa-eelal-bah’r
ً
ٍ ‫ٍَِ فَشٍلْدٍ ٌِثٍٕي اِعِشآئي‬َٛ‫ٍي‬ٚ
for the Children of Israel,
ٍ‫اٌْثٍذِش‬
and caused springs to flow from a wa fil-mum-bajisaatil-latee
s’ana’-ta bihaal- a’jaaa-iba
ٍ‫ٍفِي إٌَّْْثٍجِغاخِ اٌَري صٍَٕؼِد‬ٚ
stone, thereby displaying
wonders of Your might ٍ‫ٍا اٌْؼٍجا ِئة‬ِٙ‫ت‬
in a deep sea; fee bah’-ri soof
،ٍ‫ف‬َٛ‫يف تَذِشِ ع‬

and on the day when You wa a’qad-ta maaa-al-bah’ri fee


qal-bil-gham-ri kal-h’ijaarati
ِ‫ٍػَمَذْخٍ ِاءَ اٌْثٍذِشِ يف لٍَْة‬ٚ
solidified the water of the sea in
the midst of the storm, ،ِ‫اٌْغَِّشِ وَاٌْذِجاسٍج‬
and caused the Children of Israel wa jaawazta bi-baneee is-raaa-
eelal-bah’ra
ٍ‫ٍصْخٍ تِثٍٕي اِعِشائيًٍ اٌْثٍذِش‬ٚ‫ٍجا‬ٚ
to pass by it,

and fulfilled Your excellent wa tammat kalimatukal- hus-naa


a’layhim bimaa s’abaroo
ُِِِٙ‫ٍذََّدِ وٍٍَِّرُهَ اٌْذَغِٰٕى ػٍََي‬ٚ
promises made to them because
of their calmly endurance, ‫ا‬َٚ‫تِّا صٍثٍش‬
and made them the inheritors of wa aw-rath-tahum-mashaariqal-
ar-z”i wa maghaa ribaha
ِ‫األَسِض‬ ٍ‫َِشاسِق‬ ََُِٙ‫ِسٍثْر‬َٚ‫ٍا‬ٚ
the East and the West in the
earth, ‫ٍا‬َٙ‫ٍَِغاسِت‬ٚ
wherein there are blessings for all al-latee baarak-ta feehaa lil-
a’alameen
،ٍ‫ا ٌٍِْؼاٌَّي‬ٙ‫اٌَري تاسٍ وْدٍ في‬
the worlds;

and You drowned Pharaoh and wa agh-raq-ta fir-a’wna wa


junoodahu wa maraakibahu fil-
ٍُٖ‫د‬َُٕٛ‫ٍج‬ٚ ََِْٛ‫فِشِػ‬ ٍ‫ٍاَغْشٍلْد‬ٚ
his armies and boats in the water.
yam ،ِ ٍُُ‫ٍَِشا وِثٍُٗ فِي اٌْي‬ٚ
And (I beseech You) through wa bis-mikal-a’zeemil-aa’z’ami
َُِ‫ تِاعِِّهَ اٌْؼٍظيُِ األَػّظ‬ٚ
Your name, which is the most
great,

the most majestic, the most al-aa’zil-ajal-lil-ak-ram


ٍَِ‫األَػَضُ ِ األَجًٍُ ِ األَ وْش‬
magnificent, the most noble;

and through Your glory, with wa bimaj-dikal-lad’ee tajal-layta


bihi li-moosaa kalemika a’layhis-
ِٗ ِ‫ٍتٍِّجِذِنَ اٌَزي ذَجٍٍَيِدٍ ت‬ٚ
which You revealed light to
Moses, Your addressee, peace be salaamu fee t’oori say-naaa-a ََ‫عٰى وٍَيِّهَ ػٍََيِِٗ اٌغَال‬ٌَِّٛ
on him, on Mount Sinai;
،َ‫سِ عٍيِٕاء‬ُٛ‫يف ط‬
and earlier radiated the light for wa li-ibraaheema a’layhis-
salaamu khaleeka min qab-lu fee
َ‫ٍألِتّشا٘يٍُ ػٍََيِِٗ اٌغَالََ خٍٍيٍِه‬ٚ
Abraham, Your sincere friend
peace be on him, in the mosque mas-jidil-kheef ،ِ‫ِِِٓ لَثًَِ يف َِغِجِذِ اٌْخٍيِف‬
of al-Khayf;
and for Isaac, Your chosen wa li-is-h’aaqa s’afee-yika
a’layhis-salaamu fee bi-ri sheei’n
ََ‫ٍألِعِذاقٍ صٍفِيُـِهَ ػٍََيِِٗ اٌغَال‬ٚ
Prophet, peace be on him, in the
well of shiay', ‫يف تِئْشِ شِيٍغ‬
and for Your Prophet Jacob, wa li-yaa’-qooba nabee-yika
a’layhis-salaamu fee bayti eel
ََ‫بٍ َٔثِيُـِهَ ػٍََيِِٗ اٌغَال‬ُٛ‫ٌٍِيٍؼِم‬ٚ
peace be on him, in Bayt iil
،ًٍ‫يف تَيِدِ اِي‬
and through Your Glory, with wa aw-fayta li-ib-riaheema
a’layhis salaamu bi-meethaaqik
ََ‫ِفَيِدٍ ألِتّشا٘يٍُ ػٍََيِِٗ اٌغَال‬َٚ‫ٍا‬ٚ
which You fulfilled Your
promise to Abraham, peace be on َ‫تِّيثالِه‬
him;
and through Your Oath in favour wa lis-h’aaqa- bih’il-fik
َ‫ٍألِعِذاقٍ تِذٍٍْفِه‬ٚ
of Isaac;

and through Your witnessing wa li-yaa’qooba bishahadatik


َ‫ادٍذِه‬َٙ‫بٍ تِش‬ُٛ‫ٌٍِيٍؼِم‬ٚ
favouring Jacob;

and through the fulfillments of wa lil-mu-mineena biwa’-dika


َ‫ٍػّذِن‬ِٛ‫ِِْٕيٍ ت‬ٌٍٍَِّْٛٚ
Your promise to the faithful:

and through Your Names with wa lid-daae’ena bi-as-maaa-ika


fajaab-t
،ٍ‫ٌٍٍِذّاػيٍ تِاَعِّائِهَ فَاَجٍثِد‬ٚ
which You accepted the prayers
of supplications;
and through Your Glory, which wa bi-maj-dikal-lad’ee z’ahara
li-moosaa ibni i’m-raana
‫عٍٰى‬ٌَِّٛ ٍ‫ٍش‬َٙ‫ٍتٍِّجِذِنَ اٌَزي ظ‬ٚ
appeared to Moses, son of Imran,
peace be upon him a’layhis-salaamu ََ‫تِّٓ ػِِّشاَْ ػٍََيِِٗ اٌغَال‬
in Qubbat al-Rumman; a’laa qub-batir-rummaan
ِْ‫ػٍَٰى لُثَحِ اٌشُِِا‬

and through Your Signs, which wa biaaa-yaatikal-latee waqaat


a’laaa ar-z”i mis-ra
‫د ػٍَٰى‬
ِ ‫ٍلَ ٍؼ‬ٚ ‫ٍتِاياذِهَ اٌَري‬ٚ
appeared on the soil of Egypt
‫اَسِضِ ِِصِ ٍش‬
with great might and victory, bi-maj-di l-i’z-zati wal-ghalabati
ِ‫ٍاٌْغٍََثٍح‬ٚ ِ‫تٍِّجِذِ اٌْؼِضَج‬

with powerful signs biaaa-yaatin a’zeezah


ٍ‫تِأياخٍ ػَضيضٍج‬
Dua‟a As-Simaat

and with the display of full wa bi-sul-t’aanil-qoo-wah


ِ‫َج‬ُٛ‫ٍ تِغٍَْطاِْ اٌْم‬ٚ
command

and great power; wa bi-i’z-zatil-qud-rah


ِ‫ٍتِؼِضَجِ اٌْمُذْسٍج‬ٚ

and with the affair of the perfect wa bi-sha-nil-kalimatit-taaa-


mmah
،ِ‫ٍتِشَاِْْ اٌْىٍٍَِّحِ اٌرّاَِح‬ٚ
word;

and with Your words with which wa bi-kalmaatikal-latee tafaz”-


z”al-ta bihaa a’laaa ahlis-
‫ا‬ِٙ‫ٍتِىٍَِّاذِهَ اٌَري ذَفَضٍَْدٍ ت‬ٚ
You do a favour for the people of
the heavens and the earth samaawaati wal-ar-z”i ِ‫ٍاألَسِض‬ٚ ِ‫اخ‬ٚ‫ػٍَٰى اًَِِ٘ اٌغَّا‬
and the people of this world and wa ahlid-dun-yaa wa ah-lil-aa-
khirah
،ِ‫ٍاًَِِ٘ اآلخِ ٍشج‬ٚ ‫ٍاًَِِ٘ اٌذُْٔيا‬ٚ
the hereafter;

and through Your Mercy with wa bi-rah’-matikal-latee manan-


ta bihaa a’laa jameei’ khal-qik
‫ا‬ِٙ‫ٍتِشٍدٍِّرِهَ اٌَري ََِْٕٕدٍ ت‬ٚ
which You bestow upon all Your
creatures: ،َ‫ػٍَٰى جٍّيغِ خٍٍْمِه‬
and through Your Power with wa bis –tit’aaa’tikal-latee aqam-
ta bihaa a’laal-a’alameen
‫ا‬ِٙ‫ٍتِاعِرِطاػَرِهَ اٌَري اَلَِّدٍ ت‬ٚ
which You dominate the worlds;
،ٍ‫ػٍََٰى اٌْؼاٌَّي‬
and (I beseech You) through wa bi-noorikal-lad’ee qad khar-
ra min fazai’hi thooru saynaaa-a
ِِِٓ َ‫سِنَ اٌَزي لَذْ خٍش‬ُِٕٛ‫ٍت‬ٚ
Your Light, through fear of
which Mount Sinai collapsed, ،َ‫سَ عٍيِٕاء‬ُٛ‫فَضٍػِِٗ ط‬
through Your Knowledge, and wa bi-i’l-mika wa jalaalika wa
kib-ri- yaaa-ika wa i’z-zatik
ٍٚ َ‫ٍ وِثِشِيائِه‬ٚ َ‫ٍجٍالٌِه‬ٚ َ‫ٍتِؼٍِِّْه‬ٚ
Your Greatness and Majesty, and
Your Unique Magnificence and wa jabarootika َ‫ذِه‬َٚ‫ٍجٍثٍش‬ٚ َ‫ػِضَذِه‬
Your Honour and (through) Your
might,
which the earth could not bear, al-latee lam tas-taqil-laahaal-
araz”
َ‫ٍا األَسِض‬ٍَِٙ‫اٌَري ٌَُِ ذَغِرَم‬

and, for which the heavens bent wan-khafaz”at lahas-samaawaat


َ‫اخ‬ٚ‫ٍا اٌغَّا‬ٌَٙ ِ‫ٍأْخٍفَضٍد‬ٚ
down,

and the great depths restrained wanzajara lahaal-u’m-qul-ak-bar


،َ‫ٍا اٌْؼَِّكَ األَوْثٍش‬ٌَٙ ٍ‫ٍأْضٍجٍش‬ٚ
themselves,

and the seas and rivers became wa rakadat lhaaal-bih’aaru wal-


an-haar
،َ‫اس‬َْٙٔ‫ٍاأل‬ٚ َ‫ٍا اٌْثِذاس‬ٌَٙ ِ‫ٍسٍ وَذَخ‬ٚ
stable,

and to which the mountains made wa khaz”aat lahaal-jibaal


َ‫ٍا اٌْجِثاي‬ٌَٙ ِ‫ٍ خٍضٍؼٍد‬ٚ
submission,

and due to which the earth wa sakanat lahaaal-ar-z”u bi-


manaakibihaa
،‫ا‬ِٙ‫ٍا األَسِضَ تٍِّٕا وِث‬ٌَٙ ِ‫ٍعٍىََٕد‬ٚ
became firm on its shoulders,
Dua‟a As-Simaat

and to which all creatures was-tas-lamat lahaal-khalaaa-


iqu kul-luhaa
،‫ا‬ٍُُٙ‫ٍا اٌْخٍالئِكَ و‬ٌَٙ ِ‫ٍاعِرَغٍٍَِّد‬ٚ
submitted,

and due to which the winds wa khafaqat lahaar-riyaah’u fee


jarayaanihaa
‫ح يف‬
َ ‫ٍا اٌشُ ِيا‬ٌَٙ ِ‫ٍخٍفَمَد‬ٚ
breathed,
،‫ا‬ِٙٔ‫جٍشٍيا‬
and the flaming fires were wa khamadat lahaan-neeraanu
fee aw-taanihaa
‫ٍا إٌّيشاُْ يف‬ٌَٙ ِ‫ٍخٍٍّذَخ‬ٚ
extinguished in their places.
،‫ا‬ِٙٔ‫ِطا‬َٚ‫ا‬
And I beseech You through Your wu bisul-t’aanikal-lad’ee u’rifat
laka bihal-ghalabatu dah-rad-
َ‫ٍتِغٍَْطأِهَ اٌَزي ػُشِفَدِ ٌَه‬ٚ
might, through which You have
been known to be All-powerful duhoori ِ‫س‬َُٛ٘‫تِِٗ اٌْغٍََثٍحُ دٍِ٘شٍ اٌذ‬
for ever and ever,
and for which You have been wa h’umid-ta bihi fis samaawaati
wal-araz”een
ِ‫اخ‬ٚ‫ٍدَِّذْخٍ تِِٗ فِي اٌغَّا‬ٚ
praised in the heavens and the
earth; ،ٍ‫ٍاألَسٍضي‬ٚ
and I beseech You through Your wa bikalimatika kalimatis’s’id-
qil-latee sabaqat li-abeenaaa
‫ٍتِىٍٍَِّرِهَ وٍٍَِّحِ اٌصُـِذْقِ اٌَري‬ٚ
word, the Word of Truth, which
became a blessing for our father aaa-dama a’layhis-salaamu wa ََ‫عٍثٍمَدِ ألَتيٕا آدٍٍَ ػٍََيِِٗ اٌغَال‬
Adam and his generation; d’ur-ree yatihu bir-rah’-mah
ِ‫ٍرُسُ ِيَرِِٗ تِاٌشَدٍِّح‬ٚ
and I beseech You through Your wa as-aluka bi-kalimatikal-latee
ghalabat kul-laa shay
ِ‫ٍاَعِاٌَُهَ تِىٍٍَِّرِهَ اٌَري غٍََثٍد‬ٚ
word, by which You overcame
everything; ،ٍ‫وًَُ شَيِء‬
and I beseech You through the wa bi-noori waj-hikal-lad’ee
tajal-layta bihi lil-jabali
ِِٗ‫ِهَ اٌَزي ذَجٍٍَيِدٍ ت‬ِٙ‫ٍج‬ٚ ِ‫س‬ُِٕٛ‫ٍت‬ٚ
light of Your Face, which when it
flased on Mount Sinai ًٍِ‫ٌٍِْجٍث‬
crushed it to pieces, fajaa’l –tahu dak-kaa
ً‫فَجٍؼٍٍْرَُٗ دٍ وّا‬

whereby Moses fainted and fell wa khar-ra moosaa s’ai’qaa


،ً‫عٰى صٍؼِما‬ُِٛ َ‫ٍخٍش‬ٚ
down,

and through Your Glory, which wa bimaj-dikal-lad’ee z’hara


a’laa toori say-naaa-a
‫ٍشٍ ػٍَٰى‬َٙ‫ٍتٍِّجِذِنَ اٌَزي ظ‬ٚ
appeared on Mount Sinai,
َ‫سِ عٍيِٕاء‬ُٛ‫ط‬
and through which You fakal-lam-ta bihi a’ab-daka wa
rasoolaka moosaabina i’m-raan
َ‫ٌَه‬َٛ‫ٍسٍع‬ٚ َ‫فَىٍََِّدٍ تِِٗ ػَثِذَن‬
addressed Your slave and Your
Mesenger; Moses, son of 'Imran, ،َْ‫عٍٰى تٍّٓ ػِِّشا‬ُِٛ
and through Your appearance in wa bit’al-atika fee saae’er
ٍ‫ٍتِطٍَْؼٍرِهَ يف عاػيش‬ٚ
Sa'ir

and on Mount Faran wa z’uhoorika fee jabali


faaraana
َْ‫سِنَ يف جٍثًٍِ فاسا‬َُٛٙ‫ٍظ‬ٚ
Dua‟a As-Simaat

near Rabawat, which are clean bi-rabawaatil-muqad-daseena


ٍ‫اخِ اٌَّْمَذَعي‬َٛ‫تِشٍت‬
and holy places,

when troops of heavenly angels wa junoodil-malaaa-ikatis-s’aaa-


f-feen
ٍ‫دِ اٌٍّْالئِىَحِ اٌصُافّي‬َُٕٛ‫ٍج‬ٚ
were in rows,

and with the submissiveness of wa khushooi’l-malaaa-ikatil-


musab-bih’een
،ٍ‫عِ اٌٍّْالئِىَحِ اٌَّْغٍثُـِذي‬ُٛ‫ٍخَش‬ٚ
the angels praising You,

and with Your blessings with wa bi-barakaatikal-latee baarak-


ta feeha a'laa ibraheema
‫ا‬ٙ‫د في‬
ٍ ‫ٍتِثٍشٍواذِهَ اٌَري تاسٍ ْو‬ٚ
which You honoured Abraham,
Your sincere friend, peace be khaleelika a'layhis sallam ِِٗ‫ػٍَٰى اِتّشا٘يٍُ خٍٍيٍِهَ ػٍََي‬
upon him,
ََ‫اٌغَال‬
among the followers of fee ummati muh’ammadin s’al-
laallahu a’ilayhi wa aa-lih
ِِٗ‫يف اََِ ِح ُِذٍَّذٍ صٍٍَٰى اٌلُٗ ػٍََي‬
Muhammad, Your blessings be
upon him and his Progeny ،ٌِِٗ‫ٍآ‬ٚ
and You honoured Isaac, Your wa baarak-ta li-is’haaqa
s'afiyyika
َ‫ٍتاسٍ وْدٍ ألِعِذاقٍ صٍفِيُ ِـه‬ٚ
chosen prophet,

among the followers of Jesus, fee ummati e'essa a’lay-himaas-


salaam
،ََ‫ٍِّا اٌغَال‬ِٙ‫يف اََِحِ ػيغٰى ػٍََي‬
peace be on them both,

and honoured Jacob, Your wa baarak-ta li-yaa’qooba is-


raaa-eelika
َ‫بٍ اِعِشائيٍِه‬ُٛ‫ٍتاسٍ وْدٍ ٌِيٍؼِم‬ٚ
favoured slave,

among the followers of Moses, fee ummati moosaa a’lay-


himaas-salaam
،ََ‫ٍِّا اٌغَال‬ِٙ‫عٰى ػٍََي‬ُِٛ ِ‫يف اََِح‬
peace be on them both,

and honoured Your intimate wa baarak-ta lih’abeebika


muh’ammadin s’al-laallahu
‫ٍتاسٍ وْدٍ ٌِذٍثيثِهَ ُِذٍَّذٍ صٍٍَٰى‬ٚ
friend Muhammad, may the
blessings of Allah be upon him a’alihi wa aa-lihi ٌِِٗ‫ٍآ‬ٚ ِِٗ‫اٌلُٗ ػٍََي‬
and his Progeny,
among his offspring and progeny, fee i’t-ratihi wa d’ur-ree-yathi
wa ummatih
،ِِٗ‫ٍاََِر‬ٚ ِِٗ‫ٍرُسُ ِيَر‬ٚ ِِٗ‫يف ػِرْشٍذ‬
and his followers

O Allah! Just as were absent and alllahumma wa kamaa ghib-naa


a’n d’aalika wa lam nash-had-hu
ٌٍَُِٚ َ‫ٍ وَّا غِثِٕا ػَِٓ رٌِٰه‬ٚ ََُٙ‫اٌٍَّـ‬
didn’t witness these
manifestations of Your glory, ُْٖ‫ٍذ‬ْٙ‫َٔش‬
yet we believed in their truth and wa aaa-man-naa bihi wa lam
narahu s’id-qaaaw-wa a’d-laa
‫ٍػَذْألا‬ٚ ً‫ٌٍَُِ َٔشٍُٖ صِذْلا‬ٚ ِِٗ‫ٍإَِّٓا ت‬ٚ
justice, without having been
eyewitnesses,
So we beseech You to send Your an tus’al-liya a’laa
muh’ammadiw-wa aa-li
ِ‫ٍآي‬ٚ ٍ‫اَْْ ذُصٍٍّـِيٍ ػٍَٰى ُِذٍ َّذ‬
blessings upon Muhammad and
the Progeny of Muhammad, muh’ammadin ٍ‫ُِذٍَّذ‬
and honour Muhammad and the wa an tubaarika a’laa
muh’ammadin-wa aa-li
ِ‫ٍآي‬ٚ ٍ‫ٍاَْْ ذُثاسِنَ ػٍَٰى ُِذٍَّذ‬ٚ
Progeny of Muhamamad,
muh’ammadin ٍ‫ُِذٍَّذ‬
Dua‟a As-Simaat

and have mercy on Muhammad wa tarah'amma a’laa


muh’ammadin-wa aa-li
ِ‫ٍآي‬ٚ ٍ‫ٍذَشٍدٍَُ ػٍَٰى ُِذٍَّذ‬ٚ
and the Progeny of Muhammad,
muh’ammadin ٍ‫ُِذٍَّذ‬
with the blessings, honour, and kaaf-z”ali maa s’al-layta wa
baarak-ta wa tarah’-h’am-ta
‫د‬
ٍ ْ‫ٍتاسٍ و‬ٚ ٍ‫وَاَفْضًٍِ ِا صٍٍَيِد‬
mercy
ٍ‫ٍذَشٍدَِّد‬ٚ
you sent and bestowed on a’laaa ib-raaheema wa aa-li ib
raheem
ٍُ‫ٍآيِ اِتّشا٘ي‬ٚ ٍُ‫ػٍَٰى اِتّشا٘ي‬
Abraham and the progeny of
Abraham.
Surely You are Praiseworthy, in-naka h’ameedum-majeed
ٌ‫أَِهَ دٍّيذٌ َِجيذ‬
Glorious,

the Doer of what You will. faa’aalul-limaa tureed


ُ‫فَؼُايٌ ٌِّا ذُشيذ‬

You are Powerful over all things wa anta a’laa kul-li shay-in
qadeerun
‫يءٍ لَذي ٌش‬
ِ َ‫ٍأَْدٍ ػٍَٰى وًُُ ِ ش‬ٚ

Now one should express his legitimate desire and beseech Allah to fulfill it, then recite the
following:

O’ Allah ya allahu
ُٗ‫يا اٌَل‬

O’ Compassionate, O’ Kind ya hannanu ya mannanu


ُْ‫يا دٍّٕاُْ يا َِّٕا‬

O’ Original Designer of Heavens ya badee'us samawati wal arzi


،ِ‫ٍاألَسض‬ٚ ِ‫اخ‬ٚ‫يا تَذيغٍ اٌغَّا‬
and Earth

O’ Lord of Glory and Honour ya 'thal jalali wal ikrami


،َِ‫ٍاألِوْشا‬ٚ ِ‫يا رَا اٌْجٍالي‬

O’ most Merciful of all the yaaa ar-h’amar-raah’imeena


‫ي‬
ٍ ِّ‫يا اَسِدٍٍُ اٌشُاد‬
merciful

O’ Allah, for the sake of this allahuma bih’aq-qi had’aad-


dua’aaa-i
،ِ‫ََُ تِذٍكُ ِ ٰ٘زَا اٌذُػاء‬ٙ‫اٌٍَّـ‬
prayer,

and for the sake of these Names wa bih’aq-qi had’iheel-as-maaa-


i
ِ‫ٍتِذٍكُ ِ ٰ٘زِِٖ األَعِّاء‬ٚ

which no one can interpret, il-latee laa yaa’-lamu taf-


seerahaa
‫اٌَري أل يَؼٍََُِ ذَفْغيشٍ٘ا‬
Dua‟a As-Simaat

the inner meaning of which no wa-laa yaa’-lamu baat’inahaa


ghayruk
َ‫ا غَيِشَن‬َِٕٙ‫ٍأل يَؼٍََُِ تاط‬ٚ
one other than Yourself knows.

Send Your blessing upon s’al-li a’laa muh’ammadin wa


aa-li muh’ammadin
ٍ‫ٍآيِ ُِذٍَّذ‬ٚ ٍ‫صًٍُ ِ ػٍَٰى ُِذٍَّذ‬
Muhammad and the Progeny of
Muhammad;
and do to me what suits You waf-a’l bee maa anta ah-luh
،ٍَُُِٗ٘‫ٍافْؼًٍِ تي ِا اَ ْٔدٍ ا‬ٚ

and do not do to me what I wa-laa taf-a’l bee ana ah-luhu


ٍُُِٗ٘‫ٍأل ذَفْؼًٍِ تي ِا أََا َا‬ٚ
deserve

and forgive my sins wagh-fir lee min d’unoobee


‫تي‬ُُٛٔ‫ٍاغْفِشِ يل ِِِٓ ر‬ٚ

past and future, maa taqad-dama minhaa wa maa


taakh-hara
،ٍ‫ٍِا ذَاَخَش‬ٚ ‫ا‬ِِْٕٙ ٍََ‫ِا ذَمَذ‬

and increase Your lawful wa was-sia’ a’lay-ya min


h’alaali rizqik
‫ه‬
َ ِ‫ٍعُـِغِ ػٍََيَ ِِِٓ دٍاليِ سِصْل‬ٍٚٚ
sustenance for me,

and save me from the help of wak-finee maoonata in-saani


saw-in
،ٍ‫ِء‬ٍٛ‫َُٔحَ أِْغاِْ ع‬َِٛ ‫ٍاوْفِٕي‬ٚ
wicked men,

wicked neighbours, wa jari saw-in


ٍ‫ِء‬ٍٛ‫ٍجاسِ ع‬ٚ

wicked companions, wa qareeni saw-in-


ٍ‫ِء‬ٍٛ‫ٍلَشيِٓ ع‬ٚ

and wicked rulers wa sul-taani saw-in


،ٍ‫ِء‬ٍٛ‫ٍعٍَْطاِْ ع‬ٚ

Verily You are able to do in-naka a’laa maa tashaaa-u


qadeerun
ٌ‫أَِهَ ػٍَٰى ِا ذَشاءُ لَذيش‬
whatever You will,

and You know everything. wa bikul-li shay-in a’leemun


ٌُ‫ٍتِىًُُ ِ شَيِءٍ ػٍَي‬ٚ

Amen, O Lord of the worlds. aa-meen rab- bal-a’alameen


. ٍ‫آِيٍ سٍبَ اٌْؼاٌَّي‬

Al-Majlasi narrated from Sayed Ibn Baqi‟s „Almusbah‟ that one should say after reciting
Dua‟a As-Simat:

and for the sake of these wa bih’aq-qi had’iheel-as-maaa-i


ِ‫ٍتِذٍكُ ِ ٰ٘زِِٖ األَعِّاء‬ٚ
Names

which no one can interpret, il-latee laa yaa’-lamu taf-


seerahaa wa-laa ta-weelahaa
‫ا‬ٍَٙ‫ي‬ْٚ‫ٍأل ذَا‬ٚ ‫اٌَري أل يَؼٍََُِ ذَفْغيشٍ٘ا‬

the inner and outer meaning of wa-laa yaa’-lamu baat’inahaa


wa-laa z’aahirahaa ghayruk
َ‫ٍأل ظاِ٘شٍ٘ا َغيِشَن‬ٚ ‫ا‬َِٕٙ‫ٍأل تاط‬ٚ
which no one other than Your
self knows.
Send Your blessing upon an tus’al-li a’laa muh’ammadin
wa aa-li muh’ammad
ِ‫ٍآي‬ٚ ٍ‫اَْْ ذُصٍٍّـِيٍ ػٍَٰى ُِذٍَّذ‬
Muhammad and the Progeny
of Muhammad; ٍ‫ُِذٍَّذ‬
and give me the good of this wa an tarzuqanee khayrad-dun-
yaa wal-aa-khirah
ِ‫ٍاآلخِشٍج‬ٚ ‫ٍاَْْ ذَشِصُلَٕي خٍيِشٍ اٌذُْٔيا‬ٚ
world and the hereafter;

and do to me what suits You waf-a’l bee maa anta ah-luh


ُٗ ٍَُِ٘‫ٍافْؼًٍِ تي ِا اَ ْٔدٍ ا‬ٚ

and do not do to me what I wa-laa taf-a’l bee ana ah-luhu


،ٍُُِٗ٘‫ٍأل ذَفْؼًٍِ تي ِا أَـَا َا‬ٚ
deserve

and exact vengeance from … wan-taqim lee min


.... ِِِٓ ‫ٍأْرَمُِِ يل‬ٚ

Name your enemy then say:

and forgive my sins wagh-fir lee min d’unoobee


‫تي‬ُُٛٔ‫ٍاغْفِشِ يل ِِِٓ ر‬ٚ

past and future, maa taqad-dama minhaa


wa maa taakh-hara
،ٍ‫ٍِا ذَاَخَش‬ٚ ‫ا‬ِِْٕٙ ٍََ‫ِا ذَمَذ‬

and forgive my parents wa li-wwaaliday-ya


َ‫اٌِذَي‬ٌٍِٛٚ

and all faithful men and wa li-jameei’l-mu-mineena


wal-mu-minaat
،ِ‫ِِْٕاخ‬ٌَّْٛ‫ٍا‬ٚ ٍ‫ِِْٕي‬ٌَّْٛ‫ٌٍِجٍّيغِ ا‬ٚ
women,

and increase Your lawful wa was-sia’ a’lay-ya min


h’alaali rizqik
‫ه‬
َ ِ‫ٍعُـِغِ ػٍََيَ ِِِٓ دٍاليِ سِصْل‬ٍٚٚ
sustenance for me,

and save me from the help of wak-finee maoonata in-


saani saw-in
،ٍ‫ِء‬ٍٛ‫َُٔحَ أِْغاِْ ع‬َِٛ ‫ٍاوْفِٕي‬ٚ
wicked men,

wicked neighbours, wa jari saw-in


ٍ‫ِء‬ٍٛ‫ٍجاسِ ع‬ٚ
Dua‟a As-Simaat

wicked rulers, wa sul-taani saw-in


ٍ‫ِء‬ٍٛ‫ٍعٍَْطاِْ ع‬ٚ

wicked companions, wa qareeni saw-in-


‫ِ ٍء‬ٍٛ‫ٍلَشيِٓ ع‬ٚ

and evil days wa yaw-mi saw-in-


،ٍ‫ِء‬ٍٛ‫َِِ ع‬َٛ‫ٍي‬ٚ

And evil hours, wa saaa’ti saw-in


،ٍ‫ِء‬ٍٛ‫ٍعاػَحِ ع‬ٚ

and exact vengeance for me on wan-taqim lee mimmay-


yakeedunee
‫ٍأْرَمُِِ يل َِِِّٓ يَىيذُٔي‬ٚ
everyone who hatches secret
plots against me,
and on everyone who wa mimmay-yab-ghee a’lay
ya
َ‫ٍَِِِّٓ يَثِغي ػٍََي‬ٚ
oppresses me

and seeks to do to me or my wa yureed bee wa bi-ah-lee


‫ٍتِ َاٍِ٘ي‬ٚ ‫ٍيُشيذُ تي‬ٚ
family

or my children or my brothers wa aw-laadee wa ikh-


waanee
‫أي‬ِٛ‫ٍاِخ‬ٚ ‫ِألدي‬َٚ‫ٍا‬ٚ

or my neighbours or my wa jeeraanee wa
qaraabaatee minal-mu-
ٍ‫ِِْٕي‬ٌَّْٛ‫ٍلَشاتاذي ٍِِٓ ا‬ٚ ‫ٍجيشأي‬ٚ
relations among faithful men
and women. mineena wal-mu-minaati ِ‫ِِْٕاخ‬ٌَّْٛ‫ٍا‬ٚ
(seeks to do) injustice z’ul-maan
‫ظًٍُّْا‬

Verily You are able to do in-naka a’laa maa tashaaa-


u qadeerun
‫ًًأَِهَ ػٍَٰى ِا ذَشاءُ لَذي ٌش‬
whatever You will,

and You know everything. wa bikul-li shay-in


a’leemun
ٌُ‫ٍتِىًُُ ِ شَيِءٍ ػٍَي‬ٚ

Amen, O Lord of the worlds. aa-meen rab- bal-


a’alameen
ٍ‫آِيٍ سٍبَ اٌْؼاٌَّي‬

O Allah! For the sake of this allahumma bih’aq-qi


had’aad-dua’aaa-i
‫ََُ تِذٍكُ ِ ٰ٘زَا اٌذُػا ِء‬ٙ‫اٌٍَّـ‬
prayer,

fuqaraaa-il-mumineena
ٍ‫ِِْٕي‬ٌَّْٛ‫ذَفَضًَِ ػٍَٰى فُمَشاءِ ا‬
indigent faithful men and
women, wal-muyminaati bil-ghinaa ،ِ‫ٍج‬ِٚ‫ٍاٌثَش‬ٚ ‫ِِْٕاخِ تِاٌْغِٰٕى‬ٌَّْٛ‫ٍا‬ٚ
wath-thar-wah
and recovery and sound health wa a’laa mar-z”aal –mu-
mineena wal-muyminaati
ِ‫ِِْٕاخ‬ٌَّْٛ‫ٍا‬ٚ ٍ‫ِِْٕي‬ٌَّْٛ‫ٍػٍَٰى َِشِضٍٰى ا‬ٚ
to the sick faithful men and
women, bish-shifaaa-i was’sih’h’ah ،ِ‫ٍاٌصُـِذٍح‬ٚ ِ‫تِاٌشّـِفاء‬
Dua‟a As-Simaat

and bliss and clemency to the wa a’laa ah’yaaa-il-


mumineena wal-
ِ‫ِِْٕاخ‬ٌَّْٛ‫ٍا‬ٚ ٍ‫ِِْٕي‬ٌَّْٛ‫ٍػٍَٰى اَدِياءِ ا‬ٚ
living faithful men and
women, muyminaati bil-lutfi wal- ،ِ‫ٍاٌْىَشاَِح‬ٚ ِ‫تِاٌٍُطْف‬
karaamah
and remit the sins of, and have wa a’laa am-waatil-mu-
ِ‫ِِْٕاخ‬ٌَّْٛ‫ٍا‬ٚ ٍ‫ِِْٕي‬ٌَّْٛ‫اخِ ا‬َِّٛ‫ٍػٍَٰى ا‬ٚ
mercy on, the deceased faithful mumineea wal-muyminaati
men and women, bil-magh-firati war-rah’- ،ِ‫ٍاٌشَدٍِّح‬ٚ ِ‫تِاٌٍّْغْفِشٍج‬
mah
and arrange the return home of wa a’laa musaafireel-
mumineena wal-mu-
ِ‫ِِْٕاخ‬ٌَّْٛ‫ٍا‬ٚ ٍ‫ِِْٕي‬ٌَّْٛ‫ٍػٍَٰى ُِغافِشِي ا‬ٚ
all faithful travellers with
safety and gain. minaati bir-rad-di ilaaa ٍ‫ُِِ عاٌِّيٍ غأِّي‬ِٙٔ‫ِطا‬َٚ‫تِاٌشَدُ ِ اٌِٰى ا‬
aw-t’aanihim saalimeena
ghaanimeena
Through Your mercy, O Most bi-rah’-matika yaaa ar-
h’amar-raah’imeena
ٍ‫تِشٍدٍِّرِهَ يا اَسِدٍٍُ اٌشُادِّي‬
Merciful of all the merciful.

May Allah's blessings be upon wa s’al-laallahu a’laa say-


yidinaa muh’ammadin
َُِ‫ٍصٍٍَٰى اٌلُٗ ػٍَٰى عٍيُـِذِٔا ُِذٍَّذٍ خاذ‬ٚ
our master Muhammad, the
seal of the prophets, khatamin-nabee-yeena ٍ‫إٌَثِيُي‬
and his Progeny, the purified. wa i’t-ratihit-taahireena
ٓ
ٍ ‫ٍػِرْشٍذِِٗ اٌطّاِ٘شي‬ٚ

and His peace be upon them wasal-lama tas-leeman


katheeraa
ً‫ٍعٍٍٍَُ ذَغٍِيّاً وَثيشا‬ٚ
plentifully

Sheikh Ibn Fahad narrates that it is recommended after reciting Dua‟a As-Simat to recite the
following:

O’ Allah I ask you for the sake Allahuma innee as'aluka


bih'urmati had’aad-
‫ََُ أِّي اَعِاٌَُهَ تِذَشِ َِحِ ٰ٘زَا‬ٙ‫اٌٍَّـ‬
of this prayer
dua’aaa-i ِ‫اٌذُػاء‬
and what was mentioned in it wa bima faat minhu minal
asmaa'
ِ‫ٍتِّا فاخٍ ُِِْٕٗ ٍِِٓ األَعِّاء‬ٚ
from names

and what it contains from wa biba yashtamilu a'layhee


minal tafseeri wat-tadbeeri
ِ‫ٍتِّا يَشْرًََِّ ػٍََيِِٗ ٍِِٓ اٌرَفْغيش‬ٚ
meanings and design
ِ‫ٍاٌرَذْتيش‬ٚ
which none other than You al-lathee la yuheetu bihi illa
anta
ٍ‫اٌَزي أليُذيطُ تِِٗ اِألّ أَْد‬
comprehend fully

that you do to me … an taf'ala bee


.... ‫اَْْ ذَفْ ٍؼًٍ تي‬

and mention your legitimate desires
