Life is limited and spending some weeks or years in another country is desirable once in a

lifetime. When someone works or visits a foreign land, not only is the experience enriching
for that particular person, but also the gained insight brings benefits to the society in which
that individual lives. Two of these positive consequences will be discussed below.
Not only + inversiune auxiliar - subiect …., but also ..

Of major importance are the benefits for business. If people, for example, have worked
abroad in a well-known corporation, when they return to their native country, they will have
acquired some knowledge of being part of an international team, of dealing with financial
and organizational aspects and they will also have had the chance to expand their
professional network. Having done that would be a big plus for someone who wants to do
international business, it would increase the employment opportunities and the competition
between organizations in home country, leading to a better price – quality ratio.

Another significant advantage is the cultural one. When living abroad, people discover and,
more importantly, experience new traditions, like weddings and dances, or attend concerts
and visit art galleries. These opportunities would freshen up/ boost their creativity and they
might even end up painting picturesque places or composing music appreciated by millions
of people inspired by their journey into a different cultural area, which would definitely bring
artistic and economic benefits for their mother country.

While it is true that a new perspective on the arts broadens people’s horizon, the economic
advantages of spending time abroad are, from my point of view, more significant. During the
time spent abroad, people will have learnt about the mentality of the society in question and
this, combined with the previous points mentioned, will stand them in very good stead when
it comes to doing business with that country.
