Por: Lina Espinel Malaver.

The newspaper the time in his article published on March 30, 2019, shows us that in

less than 15 days 3 bicycle users have died due to the theft of their means of transport,

although Bogotá has been named by many the world capital of the bicycle, the figures of

theft of them are alarming, although there are 540 kilometers for the users of the bicycle,

those places do not have the necessary security to use them, they are dark and the police do

not have enough presence.

Although after seeing the alarming figures the district has decided to have 170

police to monitor these places in two daily shifts in order to ensure greater safety and

encourage the use of bicycles, there will also be support from the air police.

The district secretary asks that the whole society buy bicycles only in authorized

places, when buying cheaper or illegal we promote the theft of bicycles and to that they

form more criminal bands that carry out this bad practice that affects the security of all.
