Clara: ”My daughter Yana who was adopted from Ukraine in Dec 2013 (top pic) and is
now (bottom pic taken Dec 2014) healthy, happy and thriving as the youngest of our 9
children!

We strongly support international adoptions being allowed from Romania, especially for
children with special needs!”

Leah: ” Four of my kids are adopted from Serbia, and one from Ukraine. Serbia borders
Romania to the south, and they tried to convince Serbia to also put a stop to adoptions!”

Shilo: ” Our son was 7.5 years old and confined to a crib, mildly sedated, when we
adopted him. He had not experienced much of life at all. He has flourished in our
family. He loves his family. He loves new experiences. His favorite things are food,
music, swinging, carnival rides, and roller coasters.

He was home for 14 months before he hugged me for the first time. It has been 5 years
now and he gives large affectionate hugs and kisses. He is mostly non-verbal still, but
communicates through other means. He is developmentally delayed, but very aware
of all that happens around him. He gets from place to place by controlling his own
wheelchair. He is funny and kind.”
