What are the steps?


1. Select a text that is content and level appropriate for the
student.
2. Model and introduce the graphic organizer that you
have chosen.
3. The students will read the texts independently, as a
class or in a group.
4. The students will complete the graphic organizer
independently, as a class or in a group.
5. Have the students share and collaborate with their
peers to clarify and conclude their thoughts.
6. You can choose to have students expand the content by
writing a paragraph, essay, poem, etc.
