● Concept it More than 100 year old
● Credit card started in 1950s
● Initally Chargecard for Travel and Entertainment industry issued large number of cards ( E.g. Diners)
● Bank Americard and MasterCharge are beginigng of card networks
● Bank Americard became visa and MasterCharge became MasterCard
● Card impritnting machines were initally used, later Maganitic stipes was added added
● Magnetic strips have track 1 and track 2
● Moving to chip card
● Moved to contact less card
● Moving to app based payment
