The Feasibility of Tubang Bakod (Jatropha curcas) Seeds as Mosquito Repellant

The purpose of this study is to create an environment-friendly, safe, effective, and affordable
mosquito repellant. Weeping willow leaves, tubang bakod seeds, tubang bakod seed hulls,
onion peeling and almaciga sap were collected, pulverized, and then mixed together. A
controlled set-up contained samples that were mixed with different amounts of tubang bakod
seed extracts. The mixtures were allowed to dry and were tested to determine its ability repel
mosquito and also to determine its effect to human subjects.
