ABB Ability™ for Transport
Making sustainable transport go further
takes ability. ABB Ability™.
Across transportation sectors, operators are struggling with
how to optimize asset management given what are often
isolated systems and data storage.
The XMC20 platform is a full hybrid multi-service access & transport platform that meets stringent
network requirements for the Railways.
• Integrated access and transport functionality
• From low speed access interface up to SDH STM-16 (2.5Gbit/s) and 10Gbit/s MPLS-TP
• Real Multiservice platform for all operational needs including
• TDM access interfaces for integration of traditional services
• Enhanced Ethernet IP interfaces offering L1-L3 services
• Rail specific interfaces such as magneto line, G.703 codirectional
• Guarantees performance for each individual applications
• Bridges the gap between TDM and packet-switched technologies
• Made for trackside environment (EN50121-4)
• Supports enhanced cyber security features
