The topic of the essay was ‘Is Shakespeare still relevant and should be taught in school?’ I took the
position that he is relevant because I feel that even after a long time after he Shakespeare’s works
was published, they have the same problems and emotions as today. People still struggling with love,
death and violence. People can still learn from his books that are connected to today’s world.

The easy thing about writing an essay was to find an argument why Shakespeare is relevant because
it was a lot of good positions why. The difficult thing was to find good evidence from Othello book to
support my thought and what I was saying. I think that I am most proud that I’m more descriptive
and can find better arguments and my grammar that developed since the beginning of the year. I will
focus more about good evidence and to understand more in my next junior year.

I felt prepared because I did my organizer and I looked to my all othello’s log and all the work that we
did in class. That helped me to have better arguments and evidence to support everything what I was
talking about. I think I can improve the group work because it looked that one person was working
and group was copying. But I think I did good and I lead the group to satisfying grade and did the
best I can during work time. I think I can improve to work more without the teacher and do things on
my own without the outside support to be better at writing and do not depend on others.
