Bills of Materials and Numerical Control Files In addition to the typical fabrication drawings, there are other types of files that can be created from the data stored in the Autodesk® Advance Steel 3D model Bill of Material (BOM) files can be exported and saved to .PDFs or to files that can be reviewed in the Document Manager. These BOMs can provide you with many types of lists, including lists of all of the bolts in the model. to all of the items that need to be shipped to a site. Additionally, Numerical Control (NC) machines can take data from the Autodesk Advance Stee! model and fabricate the materials without requiring someone to read the drawings. You can export .DXF or .NC files from the model through simple commands.
