Gist Lending power of the Branch Heads where Gross NPA is more than 50% of total advances as on 31.03.2019 (List of Branches enclosed) have been kept in abeyance except for loans against FDR, Gold Loan, renewal of crop loan , agricultural loans & cash credit loans at existing level & Govt. Sponsored Schemes > These Branches will have to send proposals other than mentioned above to ZLCC for approval. Zonal Head is empowered to restore lending powers of the Branch Heads in case to case basis after ascertaining the Gross_ NPA position of such branches time to time. Zonal Head will review on monthly basis , the performance of these branches to ensure that NPA level in reduced at least 5% | per quarter from existing NPA level of 50% & above in a phased | manne, The Branches where the Sanctioning Powers are withdrawn, | the focused attention will be given for recovery and monitoring of NPA and stressed accounts. | It has been observed that in number of Branches gross NPA has increased substantially and reached a level of more than 50% of total advance of the branch as on 31.03.2019 which is much higher than the overall Bank’s Gross NPA level. To tackle the NPA menace and to monitor the NPA position of the branches it has been decided to keep in abeyance the lending powers of the Branch Heads of these branches having Gross NPA of more than 50% as on 31.03.2019 (list enclosed } except for loans against FDR, Gold Loan, renewal of crop loan , agricultural loans & cash credit loans at existing level & Govt. Sponsored Schemes .Other loan proposals of such branches have to be referred to the concerned ZLCC for sanction. In exceptional cases, lending power of such Branch Heads can be restored only with the permission of Zonal Head on case to case basis after ascertaining the Gross NPA position of such branches time to time. The Branches where the Sanctioning Powers are kept in abeyance, the focused attention will be given to recovery and monitoring of NPA and Stressed/SMA accounts Zonal Head will review, on monthly basis, the performance of these Branches to ensure that NPA level is reduced at least 5% per quarter from existing NPA level in a phased manner.
