3 Signs A Book Is Worth The Read

What kinds of things keep you urged to turn the page? From the wide variety that the
world of literature has to offer, which qualities are the best? Keep up and you may find
yourself in a chain of agreement. Reading a book is like an adventure. Can you survive
it with just your wits?

To begin, some appreciate a protagonist that is intelligent. They’ll enjoy how the
character is able to handle difficult situations. Such skills are needed to make it through
an adventure. Without a crazy solution to a ridiculously hard problem to solve, a story
can get boring to the audience. This effect is especially sufficient when the character is
limited in ability. When the protagonist relies on their wits in order to overcome tough
obstacles instead of their given abilities, it makes the character seem greater than they
already are. Accomplishment is the fulfillment of a goal through basic human power.

Furthermore, on top of being intelligent, it’s enjoyable for a book to have comedy. A little
comedy is always a nice touch, especially when it’s cleverly put together. Low-brow
humor may appeal to certain crowds, but it’s best to keep it clean to reach a wider
audience. A witty character in a story making smart remarks is always entertaining to
observe.
Romance is also another enjoyable quality. It either makes you get butterflies inside, or
feel envy toward that lucky protagonist that gets their heroine. Either way, romance
arouses emotion in readers. Emotion is what makes a book feel somewhat real or
relatable. A reader may feel empathy toward a character because of their tragic past or
a loss that they had to deal with.

Books have all sorts of qualities. Whether it be a tragic background, a cunning

protagonist, romance, or a comedic touch. Though it is mostly based on personal
preference, such things are commonly enjoyed by readers worldwide. In order for a
book to be interesting, it should consist of an intelligent yet limited protagonist, a dash of
comedy, and some romance.
