Manipur/ Nagaland BSNL Sub: 14.4 Mbps implementation in BSNL 3G network in NE-II Circle. This is to inform that Kohima and Imphal RNCs are connected and configured with Dimapur BNG. Itanagar RNC is yet to be connected to Tezpur BNG. One node-B at Medziphema was connected to Dimapur RPR switch with 8 E1 to FE converter. However, M/s Ericsson is now asking for either FE or GE connectivity for 14.4 Mbps (HSDPA) access or at least 45 Mbps (ie. 14.4x3). It was that 45 Mbps is not possible for Medziphema and even the not stable at Medziphema. So the vendor could not show even 16/3 i.e. 5 Mbps download in each thas now been decided to implement 14.4 Mbps in Node-B's to nearest OCLAN / RPR Switch by FEIGE (Dark fibre over MADM or STM-16). SSAs are requested to kindly identify the list of such Node-8 sites and arrange FE/GE link up to nearest OCLAN / RPR Switch urgently. Above information may kindly be shared with AGM (NWP-CM-1), CM Cell, O/o the CGMT, NE-II Circle, Dimapur for taking up 14.4 Mbps implementation with M/s Ericsson.
