FREDDY MERCURY. Freddie Mercury, singer, composer and
pianist, whose birth name is Farrokh Bulsara, was born on
September 5, 1946, in the city of Stone Town, belonging to the
region of Zanzibar, Tanzania, and died on November 24, 1991, in
the city of London, United Kingdom. Freddie Mercury's name
comes from the combination of the English pronunciation of his
name, which was also a nickname, while the second part refers to
the Roman deity Mercury, who served as messenger of the gods.
His father Bomi Bulsara was in charge of diplomacy, while his
mother Jer Bulsara kept the home in order and raised him and his
younger sister Kashmira Cooke.

He participated in the school's choir and theatre demonstrating

skills in singing and expression on stage. On August 23, 1969 he
made his debut on a considerable stage being part of the band
Smile. One month after their entrance two members resign,
forcing the group to look for new members and by proposal of
Farrokh they changed their name to Queen, by the splendid of this
word. In the eighties Mercury would change her appearance by
cutting her hair and growing a thick moustache, creating an image
of her own that would characterize her. He and his British band
Queen have marked considerably in the world of music, being
iconic figures of rock, being considered as one of the best singers
and even the most influential in history. One of his most
outstanding qualities is the power of his voice and the versatility
