WLL Member of Mannai Corporation QPSC EMERGENCY RESPONSE PROCEDURE 1.0 PURPOSE To maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of responses in the event of an emergency ‘Any such response is intended to: ‘+ Minimise damage to life and injury to personnel ‘© Minimise the risk of panic 2.0 SCOPE This procedure applies to the procedure will cover events that threaten life, property or the environment. These events may include but are not limited to: + Fire + Earthquake + Explosion 3.0 DEFINITIONS Associated subcontractors — 4.0 PROCEDURE To maintain the effectiveness and the efficiency of this procedure, members of the Emergency Response Team will be instructed in the implementation of this Emergency Response Procedure, 4.1 General All Emergency Response Team (ERT) members shall be trained in order to effectively conduct their duties in the event of an emergency. Planning, preparation, and training will help personnel to take the appropriate action in an emergency. This procedure provides guidelines to help deal with emergencies that may occur. This procedure cannot foresee all possible emergency situations and events. Staff must be prepared to evaluate all the circumstances and make sound judgments based on the situation, ERT members will receive annual training in the Emergency response pian. Staff must also understand that contingency preparation and procedures are necessary and are conducted for their safety and well- being, € MANNAI TRADING CO. WLL Member of Mannai Corporation QPSC Prior to implementation of the procedure, fire and evacuation drills shall be test the effectiveness of the plan. A debriefing shall be conducted after each drill to receive feedback from all participants, on the effectiveness of the plan. Identified weaknesses will be addressed and closed out. On completion of a successful evacuation the procedure will be fully implemented and, the procedure tested annually. 4.2 Emergency Planning Review Meeting It will consist of the personnel listed below: ‘© Contract Manager ‘© Chief Warden HSEQ Manager/Coordinator The review meeting (s) shall be held regularly, at least annually, to: ‘+ Review this procedure + Arrange conduct evacuation exercises. ‘+ Review the effectiveness of evacuation exercises and arrange for procedure improvements. 4.3 Duties and responsibilities of Chief Warden and Fire Wardens Please refer to Appendix A for Duties and responsibilities of Fire Wardens Please refer to Appendix B Responsible Fire Wardens 5.0 Evacuation Initiation The following may initiate an evacuation event: ‘The sounding of the fire alarm Door to door notification by Area Wardens or assigned staff 5.1 Ifyou are indoors when Earthquake starts: “DROP, COVER AND HOLD ON." If you are not near a strong table or desk, drop to the floor ‘against an interior wall and cover your head and neck with your arms. ‘© Avoid windows, hanging objects, mirrors, tall funiture, large appliances and cabinets filled with heavy objects. ‘© Donot try to run out of the structure during strong shaking Stay away from buildings. Glass from tall buildings does not always fall straight down; it can catch a wind current and travel great distances, Ifyou use a wheelchair, lock the wheels and cover your head Do not Panic ‘Obey all directions given during an emergency situation. Do not re-enter the building for any reason until given the “All Clear” by Services. C MANNAI TRADING CO. WLL Member of Mannai Corporation QPSC If you are outdoors when shaking starts: «Move to a clear area if you can safely walk. Avoid power lines, buildings and trees. + If you're driving, pull to the side of the road and stop. Avoid stopping under overhead hazards Once the earthquake shaking stops: + Check the people around you for injuries; provide first aid. Do not move seriously injured persons unless they are in immediate danger. + Check around you for dangerous conditions, such as fires, downed power lines and structure damage. ityou have fre exingulshers and aretreined fo use them, put out small fres immediately. Tur off the gas only if you smell gas. Check your phones to be sure they have not shaken off the hook and are tying up a line. Do not light matches, cigarettes or tum on electrical switches. Flashlights are one of the best light sources after a damaging earthquake. Proceed with extreme caution + Protect hands and feet from broken glass or debris. Keep head and face protected (hardhat, blanket, tablecloth, etc.) + After the shaking, Leave the building and proceed to the designated muster points even if the alarm stops. If you are trapped in debris: + Move as little as possible so that you don't kick up dust. Cover your nose and mouth with a handkerchief or clothing. + Tap on a pipe or wall so that rescuers can hear where you are. Use a whistle if one is available. Shout only as a last resort Note: In oft-Duty Hours the entire emergency Help desk 24/7 will coordinate with ‘emergency management team. 5.2 Muster Points ‘One (1) muster point has been established for the -SITE OFFICE is outside the Near the Security Office. 5.3 Emergency Exits: Emergency exits are highlighted with illuminated emergency exit sign.
